GOTTA HAVE THE SHRIMP PO BOY!! Unfortunately it was so good I ate it before I could take a picture!!! Use the remoulade in it - so good. It’s huge, with lots of shrimp, and difficult to eat it’s so big. Be ready with lots of napkins - you’ll need them. Also had the corn nuggets - first time I’ve ever seen powdered sugar on corn nuggets but it added a nice flavor. Restaurant is upstairs and air conditioned - it appears from the outside to just be screened. Staff was great and gave good advice on the menu. Have been here before and certainly will be back again.
Definitely wanted to get some seafood during my visit. This place had good reviews and was conveniently close. I went after the lunch rush so the place was fairly empty. I headed upstairs and was greeted quickly and politely. I was seated and handed a menu. I already had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, did my research. I got the crab cake appetizer and steamed snow crab legs. All of which was very tasty. Wish I would have changed out a couple of my sides, would have made it that much better. The prices were a bit steep, understanding I am at the beach. But, it’s also off season. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant. Though I’m sure there are plenty of other seafood options in the area.
One of our favorite places to stop and have great Seafood. This place is consistent. I will post some pictures zoom in and you can see how like the breading is and how perfectly cooked. I had the shrimp and grouper fingers. It was season excellent, crispy and non-greasy! My wife had the fish and she was very pleased. I've heard from many people that they have a Philly sandwich that is out of this world. I just can't bring myself not to order Seafood. Because I know it will be good every time.
One of the big reasons to visit this funky joint and endure the plastic plates and cutlery is that their main raison d’être is the fresh seafood market. We ordered the snapper, grilled. To me, grilled is simple….butter/oil, salt pepper, maybe lemon. Well, what arrived was not appealing. That beautiful piece of fish got lost on its way to our plates. We purposely ordered plain grilled to taste the fish. Could have been anything on the plate there was so much stuff on it….and overcooked. For $33 market price, really!. (Fries, 3 hush puppies, sliver of red pepper….). Sorry, but expected better. You have great fresh fish….LEAVE IT ALONE!
We had our dinner there last night- they take no reservations, but the wait for Saturday night was about 25-30 mins. It’s a restaurant and a market in one, so you know you’re eating fresh food. Portions are huge (entree at least) so we could have totally split one (it was two of us). We had the BEST smoked fish dip in our life !!! The only reason for 4 instead of five starts is the fact that your food comes on a paper plate, and utensils are plastic… however, they charge you $2 for club soda off the soda gun ?
Stopped here only cause of bad service at another place and let me tell you was a blessing. Food was delicious, service was great. Want a good meal with decent prices stope here.
Server left the food on a table across from us for over ten minutes even after being told that it was sitting there. By the time we got our food the fries were cold and soggy. The cole slaw needed something. The basket of corn fritters was so small for a table of 4 people. Not coming back there again.
This place smells like the gulf in fall for some that might sound gross but i promise its mouthwatering. The combo of salt water and fresh fish is amazing. The fish market has beautiful specimens of sea bass and salmon among others. Friendly staff. Low wait.
ate up stairs on a Sunday night...some empty tables so not packed.. service very slow..had the fish fingers and crab corn chowder. the soup was good, batter on the fish extreme. wouldn't go again
The first floor has the yummy seafood market and we one day we bought some to make at home one night. This day we stopped in for some lunch. It was really nice upstairs with the screened in porch. The breeze, the staff, the food and drinks were all great.
