I love Mexican food and was looking for vegan options. Many other Mexican restaurants I had been to would offer meatless versions of their main dishes. They do have three vegetarian dishes which I admit I did not choose these. I asked that they replace the meat in my dish with beans. They just gave me more of the refried beans which they serve on the side with all dishes. I'm surprised they would not have more variety. My family was happy with their mainstream choices though.
This is not a place I would recommend. During a recent visit they couldn’t even make decent tacos. Their tortillas fell apart in my hands. Their ground beef tasted weird. I’ve had better tacos at Taco Bell. This place has absolutely zero atmosphere. There are better Mexican restaurants. Not a place I would revisit.
Good Mexican in Homestead/Florida City. Just a few blocks West from US Hwy 1. Very convenient if going to or coming from the Florida Keys. Friendly service, fresh dishes. We enjoyed the Burritos and Tostadas plates. Each order consist of 3 small-medium size portions filled with your choice of different meats or poultry. The beans that come with the plates are creamy & delicious.
This was great! Authentic Mexican and I would fight the traffic again to get back to next time we’re in the area. Husband had shredded beef enchiladas I had ground beef chimichangas. Service was excellent. If we lived here I would try everything on the menu! Salsa with chips was perfect heat!
We ate dinner here twice. It's a small, family owned, unassuming restaurant. I had the tamales dinner one night and the beef stew the second night. Both were very good. The staff is bilingual. Prices were very reasonable. They have wifi, too.
We happened upon Rosita’s by chance and could not have been more fortunate. My wife has not been happy with any Mexican restaurant since we moved to Florida, but she loved it. The beef chimichangas were fantastic, the pico de gallo was phenomenal, the guacamole was delicious, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the enchiladas and the salsa. This place is an absolute hidden gem!
