This place was was outstanding! The molcajete had amazing flavor. The salsa and tortilla chips is on point. Oh, and of course we had to get the michelada vip is ridiculous and worth it. Definitely going back there next time I'm in Florida city.
Great food and great service! Very authentic flavors, great drinks and a very attentive waitstaff. Highly recommend
Loved the Pollos Tacos, they’re authentic and very tasty!! I liked the customer service. Our server Marlin was very friendly. The bathrooms are kept clean! The prices for few items are very pricey for the quantity they provide but the authenticity and taste negates it and overall this place is recommended for traditional mexican food with awesome music!!!
The food was excellent, each and every plate had a unique taste.
I am forever on a quest to bite into the perfect Chile Relleno. So many layers must work together in a concerto that it's almost impossible for most Mexican restaurants to get it right, so I end up going with the safe taco or enchilada: The chile with its smoky verdant flavor, the cheese oozing in a gooey, hot mess, the batter encasing the chile light as tempura, and finally the light chile tomato sauce topping everything like a perfect coda without deflating what lies underneath. All La Cruzada's menu said was: Poblano pepper with cheese. What the hell, I can always order a taco if it's shabby. Expectations weren't high with the menu definition. The chips and salsa came out first. Promising! Homemade, nutty, earthy, hot. With sides of delicious, carefully crafted green and red salsa, not the usual red sauce made from canned tomatoes and a few limp onions slung onto the table as an afterthought like Chinese wontons and sweet and sour sauce. Ceviche was a mound of seafood, limey, well-seasoned with freshly made, scooped up with chips. Drinking a Modelo on their small but cute outdoor patio was delightful, although in the summer you'd need more cold beers to counter the heat and humidity. I love the hominess of the place; it doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't like some downtown Miami Mexican restaurants in hotels with the same fare at three times the price. The plate of Chile Rellenos arrived. With low expectations, I bit into it. The concerto of flavors was fantastic! The best restaurant Chile Relleno I'd ever eaten. The beans and rice on the side were perfectly acceptable, too. There is a lot on the menu at La Cruzada for the taco and enchilada lovers and those who quest for Mexican fare that's off the beaten track. Worth the quest to Homestead.
Love this place!!! The food was so good and the atmosphere made you feel like you were in Mexico. Our server was great also.
Decent food food but not the greatest Mexican restaurant in homestead area. The good thing about this place is that they have a special menu for vegetarians. They need to improve in the variety of salsas.
First time coming here and boy it was like being in Mexico, Food was good. I couldn't make up my mind on what to order so I ordered the Tres Amigos platter(really good) It was a lot of of food that I couldn't even finish it. Must be from all the appetizers I ate. First time trying the Choriqueso. It was really good. Also I had the chips and Guac.- forgot to take a picture of that but the Guac did not impress me. The food over all was good but I only give it 3 stars because the Guac wasn't the best and The Margaritas, they were water down margaritas, I do not recommend the Margaritas at all and I had 3, but all 3 sucked.
The food here is authentic and delicious. The people are attentive and friendly. It's a bit out of the way for me but definitely worth the drive.
Excelente atencion y servicio, muy buena comida.
