I would like to start with that the service was like no other. Enthusiastic staff, happy, relaxing, and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and calming. As per the service and setting, the food was out of this world. The Vish bowls were extremely filling, delicious, and fresh. Well definitely be coming back! Thank you for bringing the Mediterranean feel to South Florida.

I finally made it to Vish Hollywood for a late day lunch and it did not disappoint. Vish is on Stirling road just west of 95 in Hollywood, inside of a very warm and welcoming plaza that has many great shops as well plenty of parking. This counter service restaurant is a 100% vegetarian (they have eggs available as sides) and has so many great options it’s hard to choose one, so I basically made my own bowl and ordered many of the side fixings too. Pictured here is a hummus bowl topped with falafel, vegan shwarma (made with soy) and eggplant. On the side I also had them include sautéed mushrooms and onions and babaghanoush. The “extra love” or fixings at no extra charge were fava beans, chickpeas, tahini, Israeli pickles and olives as well spices and of course some of fluffiest and best pita I have ever had. All the food pictured below came to about $35 and was a perfect late vegan lunch for two.
Spectacularly delicious whole food, plant-based with the occasional egg thrown in. CHECK THIS: when you eat it there they GIVE you a top notch Turkish coffee, on the house. We will be coming back until we work our way through their whole amazing menu! We stuffed ourselves but food this real, this fresh doesn’t leave you feeling stuffed… or maybe it’s the nice little buzz from this Turkish coffee? Well done Vish!

Hummus is freshly prepared and unusually creamy and maybe a bit more flavorful than the typical Israeli style hummus. Little things like special Ethiopian tahini in the mix and removal of the chickpea skins make a difference. The babaganush is also very good. I tried the lentil soup too, I’m not sure it’s even on the menu but it might be the best lentil soup I’ve ever had. I recommend asking for it. It’s surprisingly busy on a weekday afternoon especially for a relatively new place. Word has gotten out pretty quickly.

Went with my family for a Sunday brunch, the staff went far and beyond to service us at the highest possible levels. That alone made the experience incredible. The food was great, since there were 5 of us we had the chance to try almost everything they offered and everything was simply delicious. They also offered us these tahini chocolate truffles which I found amazing, I would definitely become a regular in this place. First impression matters and they have earned my trust.
