This was my first time at this restaurant and I went with a friend of mine. Upon entering My friend commented on the smell of the place. She said that it smelled rotten to her. I disagreed and thought it smelled old. We decided to stay and give it a try. We definitely noticed that the wait staff were really immature and not the standard you would expect at a restaurant, but they were mildly attentive, but asked if we were okay as they were walking by our table. We started off with the Fried Calamari and the Seafood Fried Rice. The calamari was just okay, didn't have enough tenderness, but the breading was light. The shrimp fried rice was definitely americanized with not enough Asian flavors and too much oil. Not surprised since this isn't an Asian Restaurant. Some of the pieces in the rice were hard. Not sure if it as from overcooking or it was old rice. We decided on two different seafood boils, each with 1/2 lb of shrimp and snow legs (my friend added 1/2lb of clams). Each came with two potatoes, a piece of corn, and sausage. However, hers was supposed to come with no sausage and boiled eggs. Well let's just say the order was not correct in multiple ways. I only received a 3-4 pieces of sausage, about 1/2 inch rounds. My friend asked for no sausage which they assured her she could do, but she still got sausage. She had to pick them out and she got a lot more sausage than me. We each only got one cluster of Snow crab legs and that seemed incorrect for 1/2lb. Not sure if they were just counting the items instead of weighing them, but it seemed a little light as we opened the bag and started eating. In the end, it felt like getting short-changed especially for the price.The flavor was good and they used fresh garlic in their seasoning. Overall, the experience was just okay, but given the other places in the area where I could get much better quality calamari, seafood boils, and fried rice. I won't be going back.
Service: not great. We had to ask multiple times for simple things. Asked for a replacement iced tea because mine was very weak (nothing more than light brown water) and was told “that’s how it all is” Value : not good. I know inflation is bad , but it was almost $80 for a 2 person visit. We had a 2 person boil, one soda and one light brown water , errr ice tea. Food: ok. The presentation was clumsy and messy tho as we had to dig thru a hot plastic bag to get to the food. Atmosphere: table was off balance and wobbly. There was also music playing which used colorful language. I really don’t care about that but parents of young children might. Wouldn’t go back.
Amazing seafood. Chico was our server. He went over and above. He recommended an awesome strawberry drink and was very attentive to our group. Great seafood restaurant and superb server.
Fantastic service. Food was great. Robots for the win! Seriously, robots deliver your food. Even we adults got a kick out of that. The server was very friendly. It was our first time so he gave us samples of each seasoning to taste-test. Do that! So many options. Our table tried several and enjoyed them. But, for me, plain butter was ideal. The location is easy to reach, although the strip mall itself is funny--with a pawn shop, liquor store, and adult video store. Ignore that and enjoy a good meal. Robots!!
As much as I love seafood, I am not an oysters fan; but Chico (who was the best server) convinced me to try the grilled oysters and they were amazing! I also had the Dungeness crab seafood boil with Mr. Q’s sauce and it was delicious! First time but I would definitely go again.
Best seafood in town the oysters were baked to crisp and seasoned very well. The crab were delivered by a robot in a bag with. When I opened the bag I was in heaven. Fresh cooked and seasoned the bomb ?
The food and drinks were GRRREAT!!!**Update***I went back towards the end of 2021 and ordered similar choices of food seen in the pictures. The rice and soup looked and tasted different, which was displeasing.
We had dinner last night at Mr. Q Crab house and not only was the service beyond, so was the crab special we had. Our waitress recommended their special house sauce that was just the right taste to enjoy fully. My wife loved the oyster special, very much that we are going back soon. Wait till you meet the host, best host we ever had. We beyond recommend!
This is my first time here and we have order fryed fish and it was awesome will come again next time I visit Florida
First time here and it was flavorful. We ordered seafood in a bag for two. Sauce was CGL (Cajun, garlic butter and lemon pepper).After that we tried the grill oyster with Parmesan. It was delicious but I only eat 2 since I was full from the seafood.The staff was friendly including the robot that brought the food. The vibe was chill out music. It felt like it’ll turn into a club after 10pm. Really stuffed but satisfied.
