My hubby and I reside in the Metro Detroit area, we are frequent visitors to the Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale area. My hubby mistakenly drove by Joe’s Old School pizzeria, came back to our condo and insisted on taking our family there for dinner. Well we were all VERY GRATEFUL he mistakenly drove by the restaurant, the pizza was immaculate!! Nelson, the cook, was absolutely awesome, he was very personable and outgoing!! The wonderful hostess/cashier was once a fellow Metro Detroiter, herself. We regret not catching her name, but she was absolutely fantastic too!!! Our family HIGHLY RECOMMENDS Joe’s Old School Pizza, we’ll definitely, 110% be regulars when visiting the ‘Sunshine State’
My rating is based solely off of the pizza since that’s all I tried. Starting with the positives, I thought the pizza was a nice sized NY slice that was cooked very well and the crust was great. The only downer for me was the flavor of the slice itself. It was a mix of emotions on the flavor. I thought the cheese was not flavorful at all and that the sauce was WAY too sweet/under seasoned. If you guys work on the flavor of the pizza that would substantially increase the quality of it. Would I come back? Maybe for something else, but I personally was not a fan of the pizza. It might be someone else’s kind of slice though, just not me. I give it 3 stars because the pizza to me was average at best. Hopefully this review can help you guys in improving the pizza making process. I wish you all nothing but the best!
As usual, the pizza is always very good. However either they are under new management or new owners since the service has gone downhill. Rude employees,.more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. I even saw an argument between the pizza cook and one customer because the customer could not hear his order being called over the loud music. Ordering two slices took about 15 minutes to be served.
Kid approved ? We love Joes pizza! Super friendly owners , fast & lovely service plus delish pizza pie!
Let me start by complimenting the pizza….however , the staff does not come across as welcoming and thankful for your patronage. Pizza was worth the 30 minute wait. Posting this because it’s not the first time I received this treatment. No hospitality , felt like they were doing us a favor when in it should be mutually appreciated. ??

Ordered a 5 topping pizza as we have several times delivered by Door Dash and GrubHub. The deliver service satisfactory the pizza usually spot on. However this tile the crust was charcoal and toppings dry. I called to tell about the pizza and they took my name and said to come by at my leisure for a replacement. I called and was treated as though I wanted something for nothing. This was the fartherist thing on my mind. Lousy pizza, lousy customer service. The 28 dollar pizza is the last monies from me or my acquaintances.
I ordered two pizzas. I was looking forward to these pizzas. They gave me the wrong pizzas. I got to keep them. They did credit me for a future purchase. That was fair.The garlic rolls are a good size. They tasted great. I ordered them with extra garlic sauce. I enjoyed them.One of the pizzas that came was a cheese one. I thought the cheese did not have a lot of flavor, or maybe it was overwhelmed by the sweet flavor of the sauce. It was too sweet for my taste, the sauce.The second pizza that came by mistake was amushrooms and onion. The sweet sauce flavor was not was strong on that one. I could still taste it but not as strong. The crust was good.The pizzas were big. Both pizzas together around fifty dollars. It was not for me.
Absolutely delicious.Ordered this at my company to use some grub hub gift cards.Will not hesitate to order from again and will make sure to cut out the middle man and call them directly.Every single co-worker said how good it was and wanted the name of the place.Giant pizzas, and best price in the area that I found.A very happy discovery for me
First time ordering from Joe's. We ordered a cheese pie with onions and peppers. It was super good. I personally don't usually order any toppings but my husband does. They could not do half and half so I just removed the toppings from my half and made it work. Delivery was prompt and pizza was piping hot, just the way it should be. I will definitely order from them again.
