This place is usually pretty good however my last time here was not. I live in the neighborhood so im here all the time (at least once a week). Had some family visiting and took them to order to go. We got there around 10pm, food didn’t come out until after midnight. The rice was undercooked and the curry goat and oxtails were so tough we couldn’t even eat it. Super disappointed because i spent over $100 and waited over 2hours only to have to eat somewhere else. Its a shame because there is nowhere else like this in downtown hollywood, but i dont think ill be back. The service and food is just too inconsistant. I gave them 2stars instead of one because its literally hit or miss when you come here; seems the more busy it is the worse the food/service is which is just unacceptable. I wish places like this took their brand more seriously and put service and quality before their take home pay.
I went with a friend of mine, we were charged 15 dollars each to get in. We seated ourselves waited a total of 35 min before we spoke to a waitress, my friend had to get the waitress by the way. She then says we can only order drinks because the kitchen is backed up right now and that’s an hr long wait. We were upset because the should’ve told us that before charging 15 a piece to get in. We asked to speak with a manager. She came over we explained the situation she said she will give us back the cover charge. An hr later we ordered food took about 45 min to come. The white rice was hard like the table, sent it back it barely was any better. I do not recommend this place at all..
If you're visiting the Hollywood area in Florida this is definitely the place you want to go if you love live Jamaican music.. The food was awesome the drinks was on point the ambience was beautiful. I had an awesome experience.
Food was good, vibes were great and the drinks were reasonably priced. Loved the music, too. The wait staff were friendly. I can't wait to return.
Had a great experience here! My daughter and I were on vacation and she found Ginger Bay in her search for a good place to dine for Jamaican cuisine. The food was delicious, tasty, and fresh! The servers were friendly and personable. And there was live entertainment on the night that we went!Really enjoyed it!
Rude kept me. On hold and my sister mess up her order...because she didnt get the order right. Food was horrible I will never go to this place again 15 dollars for this never ever again
The food was great. Although last min, they were able to accommodate. The manager was by herself,and managed to take care if the guests.
My husband and I had an amazing time. The music was great the food was good and the hospitality was outstanding. We'll be frequent flyers.
The food and service were great. I truly enjoyed myself along with my company of close friends.
