Someone suggested this place for breakfast. The waitresses here are really nice ladies. But this place is hit or miss to me. It's been here a while. So it seems like the people who go are regulars. I went in once and had to leave because no one bothered to seat us. It seems to be family owned. Sometimes the food is really good. Sometimes it's just food.
Nice cozy diner family restaurant and atmosphere like advertised. I visited in the morning and they were somewhat busy but there was an Opening for me to sit down didn't have to wait. The staff was attentive and the waitress I got was very good. My breakfast was very good it did not take long and was not very expensive. It was around $10 for a full breakfast and coffee ☕️. Next time I think I will try the omelet I saw one it looks pretty good. I had the French toast 2 eggs On toast and sausage. I would say it is On par with diner food and In some ways or step above diners in general. I did not try any other specialties or there dinners or anything so I have limited say in the matter.
This hidden gem was just what I was looking for. I drove past but didn't know the good eats this place has. Ordered shrimp and grits and side of bacon. Delicious. Diner set up in the inside. Our server was very nice and attentative. Will be going back to try other foods.
Cute small business with great food. The French toast was amazing as is and doesn’t need additional syrup. The food was prepared fast and pick up was seamless. The corned beef has was too spicy for my liking and more hash than corned beef. All else was perfect!
Wonderful combination of soul food with an island twist. Phenomenal fish and grits served grilled, broiled, or fried. Pancakes and waffles, fried chicken, shrimp and grits and many southern favorites. Highly recommended.Seating capacity is very limited.
We went in search of some good home cooked tasting breakfast....and we found it at Derry's! The place is small and quaint, which was great for us. We ordered our food with our lovely Server Lynn. While waiting We noticed people coming and going, that is certainly a sign that the food is good!! We got our food (no pic too hungry ?) fried snapper and grits, shrimp and grits, French toast and sausage links; the homemade biscuits were good too. We left feeling satisfied and chatting of our next visit. I've passed here so many times now I definitely have good taste buds memories of Derry's.
This place was absolutely amazing our waitress was phenomenal if you don't go for just the atmosphere goes for the food because it is unbelievably good the French toast taste like cake
Everything was good. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, links, grits, pancakes, French toast, and chicken wings off the lunch menu. Service was great as well as the atmosphere. Ms. T was our server.
Omg!!!! The best mom-and-pop black-owned restaurant. Everyone is so nice. Their catfish with grits and pancakes with a side of corn beef hash soooo yummy
Went to Derry's restaurant for a takeout breakfast, food was good, service was good,enjoyed it was not a long wait. Love there breakfast.
