A severe thunderstorm cancelled our trip to West Palm Beach, so my wife and I made a short drive from Hollywood Beach to Padrino's. Located in a storefront strip, I expected the restaurant to be smaller than it is. The staff was gracious and gave us a nicely located booth. I have been a fan of Cuban cuisine for years and felt at home with the menu. We ordered plantain chips with garlic sauce as an appetizer and we both had the slow roasted pork with rice and yucca as sides. Every item was wonderful. Service was excellet. We will return.
Enjoy a wonderful Dinner!! Great Staff Great Food,Clean Place!!! Be sure to stop at this Gem.... Yummy
place is very clean and staff has pleasant attitude. I has a pork sandwich which was my first time eating a cuban sandwich. I'm in love. don't hesitate just go there and try their food
I must've caught them on a bad day. The service was OUTSTANDING but the food was bland and a -hint- chain restaurant tasting. Not the best impression for tourists looking for an authentic Cuban.Again, likely just an off day for the chef.
The food and service were unbeatable. A short walk from the DoubleTree Resort, our Uber driver said it is the best food you will find outside of Cuba. He said it's where he goes when he misses his grandma's home cooked cuban meals. Ask for Sheila, she made sure we each got something different so we had a good variety and covered the different flavors so we could share. Her energy and attitude made you feel like you were at home in someone's kitchen sharing heritage. She involved our teenagers and just made the whole time a great family memory!
This was recommended by a friend and I strongly recommend it too. Food is absolutely delicious, not expensive, the service was so nice like we were good friends, the atmosphere relaxing with nice music we could have danced (probably some people do later in the night). The place is kind of hidden but very close to Collins Ave. We will visit again if we are in the area.
Just as good as all the others. Always make sure you have the empanadas.
Sunday afternoon around 4PM. Not busy. Seated immediately. Pleasant waiter, willing to give suggestion. Starter Ham croquettes - apparently deep fried but not greasy with ham filling . A red sauce was served with it, but I could not say it had a particular flavor. I ordered large shrimp in wine garlic sauce . I did not count the shrimp but I suppose there were 8-9. Texture and flavor were good. Sides of black beans (in a vessel- I think the waiter called it ‘soup’) and rice (I believe the waiter suggested to MX the beans and rice together . I savoured the meal while drinking bottled Stella Artois. For desert I ordered the flan… it was flavourful, sweet, and very enjoyable . I was offered coffee and requested their latte. $34 plus tax plus gratuity.
Best meal I’ve had in a very long time. Every course was delicious and the staff was great.
Great food, fast service & nice atmosphere
