We really enjoyed our dinner at Juniper on the Water! Our server was wonderful, the management stopped at the table, the view was beautiful! The food was delicious! We will definitely return!
I have lived in the Hallandale/Hollywood area for 20 years and never knew this little gem was there. Quickly tucked away between Hallandaleâs condominiums on the water way. I found it on Open Table (thank you) and made a reservation for 4 in a jiffy. Once there we were amazed by the great ambiance. A wonderfully stocked large bar in the entrance of the restaurant, live music and beautiful seating area. We decided to sit outside and admire the water as part of a wonderful ambiance we were looking for. The waitress who took our order was supported by many other waiters. They all picked up and dropped off food and drinks throughout the night. The food was amazing. We had wonderful appetizers, drinks and entrees. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. I was so happy to have found this restaurant of this caliber so close to us. We will definitely be back.
It took a long time for a server to come to our table and very long delays for water, drinks, appetizers, and food. Several menu items and liquor selections were simply not available. The Caesar salad was soggy with stale croutons and this skirt steak had no flavor. The staff in general seemed disinterested that we there. In addition, signage to the unusual location is non existent, and the valet didnât have the parking under control.
Excellent Lamb braised over polenta! The best!
There calamari were very salty but was discussed with manager . However everything else was good..

This was probably one of the worse experiences Iâve had for a while down here in Florida. We arrived for our reservation at 1:30 the hostess stated that there were no outside seating and should take about 15 mins I told her to text me once there was seating. A whole half hour passed and we went to see what was happening she âforgotâ about us. Then we sit and the server was just so incompetent she argued with my guest about a menu item, then I ordered my item and requested no pork. Of course my food comes with pork on it so I had to send it back, it took another 20 mins for my food to come at this point we had spoke to the manager, the manager wasnât too apologetic or helpful either so the apple didnât fall to far from the tree with how poor the service was. From start to finish this was the worse service we had. Then at the end we told the manager prior we did not want dessert on the house because thatâs what she attempted to give us for the horrible experience and the server came at the end and stilllllll offered us dessert at this point it was just laughable. So the server left and came back and had the audacity to offer us a free appetizer for ânext timeâ we said we will never step foot back up In here. Like whereâs the logic and why would you even think to offer us food when the food was terrible and the service was bad. This was such a disappointing experience and it really was just terrible.
We enjoyed sitting outside to take in the water scene. The food was really good but the drinks were ok. I had their smoked old fashioned and it was good but I didnât care for the walnuts. I asked for a plain old fashioned and basically got the same thing with walnuts! Had to ask for a cherry. But overall it was good.
We celebrated a special birthday there and it was such a perfect location for a celebration! They gave us a big table in the corner with a beautiful view of the water and the boats in the marina. Service was great, very attentive throughout the meal. The food was excellent. They brought out a dessert with candles at the end. Very happy we chose Juniper! They even have complimentary valet parking
