My sons and I were very well taken care of here. The staff is very attentive and the food was delicious. I also love the food's presentation. I had our meal delivered and then the following day I decided to dine in. I recommend it.
?Me and my dear colleague was in Miami and was seeking a Jamaican Restaurant, so we explored Google and was happy to find our Tampa Sister Dunns River Island Caribbean Restaurant. ? Brittany was great as she assisted us notwithstanding the oxtails which I ordered were not as tender, meaty, or tasty as I expected for $20. Moreover, Dunns River in Tampa is the King and Dunns River in Miami Gardens must step it up. YOU DECIDE! ?
The staff are so polite patience and friendly the food is oh my God so delicious the drinks are good the atmosphere the music five star this is a very cozy place with family or with the significant other great choice.
I got the Dunn's Seafood pasta dish. Now I'm from Maine and pretty picky when it comes to my seafood and I have to say It was amazing. The portion size left me with enough to take a snack home for later. If I get laid over in Miami again I will definitely be back.
My parents happened to stumble onto this restaurant and can’t express how grateful I am that they did. This restaurant was so good and so nostalgic. From the drinks of Jamrock Punch that were packed with a kick to codfish fritter appetizers to their ackee and salt fish cups. The chicken soup had the right amount of spice kick so you can continue to order more drinks. Ordered coconut grilled shrimp with peppers, omg delicious too! My main course was Dunn’s River Island Fried Chicken, rice & peas and cabbage with plantain. Super nostalgic in flavor . The oxtail was also ordered as I had a piece and will most likely order that to go next time. Lol the atmosphere was right with music playing and the bar is fully set up and stocked. I am so anxious to return and can’t wait !!
I have been several times. They never disappoint. Maybe one day I'll make it to one of their parties.

Food is amazing, clean nice atmosphere, friendly service dine in, or take out has always been above and beyond.
A little pricey but the food is great. Servers could be a little more friendlier but overall I would still give them 5⭐'s. Hopefully the next time I visit the food will still be great.
