I love Cao Bakery, which I always visit at it's different locations. This time at the Hallandale Blvd. one, I think Manuel needs a little more training. I ordered a cafecito with the regular sugar, and he gave me waay to little coffee with no sugar at all, I asked him to make a new espresso and he put way too much sugar this time and barely stirred the espresso. I know he was by himself and there was another person waiting, but even in that situation, you need to make sure you do your things the right way, so customers can leave happy. I work in a hotel coffee shop, so I know for sure this is possible. Also, I asked him what flavor was one of the small muffins and he told me blueberry...and it was nutella. I like nutella and I ate it anyways but..I think its also important he knows the flavors. What if I hate nutella? Anyways, I know he's a good kid, just needs a little more training ?This part I'm adding now before leaving. There is no need to have this restroom like this ??‍♂️

I've ordered online twice from this location and had 2 very different experiences, which is why I put 3 stars.ServiceThe first time I went to pickup on 5/7/22, 2 men were idly chatting behind the counter and didn’t even acknowledge that we were waiting at the pickup order. We waited several minutes and finally had to signal to have someone help us.Today 5/29/22 Manuel immediately acknowledged when I walked in the door. The order was missing an item and the flan sauce had spilled out of the container as he handed it to me, so he addressed the issue right away, switched the flan that had spilled, and gave me a fresh bag. He was very kind and attentive.FoodCheesecake flan, regular flan, & pastelitos were excellent.Website (for entire franchise)The website only shows pictures but gives no description of the food. Furthermore, it allows you to purchase items that aren't even sold at some locations. I had to get an equivalent item for what I paid. I was told that this location had addressed this with the franchise but no updates to the website have been made. Food descriptions and customized menus for each location would better serve customers.Advice for customersOrder via phone so you know exactly what items the location carries.

Ok so I go there often just because croquetas are amazing and is the only decent colada in miles. The service is usually terrible, line doesn’t move, employees look like they got lost and landed there plus they are not sure what went out and what didn’t. HOWEVER, the morning crew on Thursday 6/2 was amazing. They were full of energy, nice, helpful, got everything done efficiently and correctly. I will be back soon on Thursday’s!!!!!

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I'm almost certain the management in this establishment is ran by brainless know it-all's that know absolutely nothing with rude attitudes that love to run you in circles!!! We made an order online and after an hour, we received an email that our order was ready. Another hour later, nothing, so we called and was told our order was cancelled, couldn't even bother to let us know! 2 WHOLE HOURS PASSED BY!! They took our money and ran us around circles about who to contact to get our money back, I got fed up in the end, I had to just file a dispute with my bank. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! You'll have a better chance just stopping to a local grocery store for a quick pastry bite then this place.

I love this cuban restaurant the pastries are always fresh, and the people so far are very friendly and the coffee is good could be a bit more hotter. But it's still good.

I order here often as it's located minutes from my job. I normally have breakfast and/or lunch here. Because there's always a line, I like to order online so that I'm in and out. Can I tell you that my order is almost NEVER ready when I arrive. I feel stupid as I write this because I still haven't learned my lesson and I'll probably order online in the near future hoping they'll get their act together. If you can't process online orders then turn that feature off!! I can't begin to express how frustrating this is. Also, they don't allow you to order a milkshake online yet it's still on the online menu. Another thing, no one there speaks English therfore me trying to explain that I placed an online order and I'm here to pick it up is impossible! Half the time I order empenadas online, they're sold out. You would think they would call you to notify you right...nope! Everytime I visit this place, I'm stressed! Other than that, the food is good...between that and it's proximity to my job is the only reason why I'm still a customer. I enjoy their coffee, breakfast sandwiches, papaya shake, empanadas and steak sandwich. The place is always clean. There is ample parking and a drive thru. Good luck!

Amazing place to enjoy coffee and food, I get the best attention from the employees they are really kind. Stefany, Veronica, Mariela, Fabiana & Lee thank you for give to me always a great attitude and attention.

This place is extremely unsanitary and food safety should be a concern especially during an ongoing deadly pandemic. No one wears a hair net or Mask! I ordered a Cuban sandwich and ate two pieces of long curly hair smashed in between the melted cheese. Completely disgusting! Told the supervisor about what happened and showed her the proof, she laughed. This was apparently amusing to her. Prior to that she yawned with her mouth completely open with absolutely no mask on, standing directly over food and in the customer's face. Very disrespectful! We video recorded the entire ordeal. And to add to this nonsense, No one was bilingual- Spanish speakers only. You're going to need a translator or app on your phone to communicate effectively. They don't respect or value their customers and smirk in your face if there's a problem. Health inspectors need to evaluate this establishment ASAP. This place needs to be Closed Down!!

was there the other day to pick up some guava pastries, which we had been hankering for during our entire tip from NJ. The pastries were soggy and no amount of heating up could crisp up the crusts. Ugh! We will give the Hollywood location a try but the experience at Hallandale was very disappointing

CAO always has great coffee and pastries. At this location unfortunately, the staff was not very polite. The kitchen was closed over an hour before the closing time of the cafe so we could not have the sandwiches we wanted. We got a Cuban sandwich since those are already prepared and it was good.
