I found this place on yelp, I was looking for some soup d/t a upset stomach. When My nephew and I arrived, the person was very welcoming and pleasant. My nephew and I looked over the menu and ordered the #10 (HOANH THANH). I had to use the bathroom and it was really clean and it was very accommodating to women, definitely made me smile. Our food took about 5-7 minutes and it definitely was made fresh and hot. We got home and I was amazed when I opened it, lots of everything in the bowl. Only thing was, I wish it had more pork, I had to share with my nephew because he devoured his lol. The initial picture came out blurry so I only have the after pic of all the goodness. I would definitely recommend this place. Clean, neat, pleasant staff, and fresh great food
I got the crispy noodle. This was my first time here. The food was very fresh and full of flavor. Very attentive ans patient staff as well. A hidden gem!
I ordered pho there and the noodles were too mushy and broke into pieces. My boyfriend got ramen, same thing. I think they overcooked the noodles. The food just doesn’t taste fresh. Hopefully they will be more careful next time since there are not too many noodle places in Gainesville. The service and the environment is good here though.
May 31, 2022 - Ordered Vietnamese stir fried rice with shrimp, no pork pieces please. Received rice with pork only, no shrimp! Told the waitress (it said Tyler on the receipt), and she said I can get you an order of shrimp. That arrived about 15 minutes later. It was rather bland stirred into the original meal. $2 up charge for the shrimp! Not a good experience. On NW 39th Avenue.
Normally we would go to Chopstix for pho, but since they are closed for their annual vacation, we needed to try another restaurant's pho. While the broth was not as fragrant or the bean sprouts/basil as plentiful, it certainly was worth the $12.
I had the pork belly noodle bowl it tasted great.i added a little Sriracha to the bowl I like a little bit of spice.i am in love with the remodel of what it once was. Love this place and hope you guys will to.
It’s like 38 degrees outside, and 45 inside the restaurant?.. Ordered Thai tea, with boba and a water. Received Thai tea, no boba, no water. Ordered edamame, (2) Pho dishes, one with the noodles on the side, and a marinated egg (dietary restrictions). Received 2 pho dishes, both with noodles inside, and one with a poached egg, not marinated. Had to ask for the edamame after our Pho already came out, and it took a solid 10 minutes. Also had to ask for waters. No table should be without water, regardless of if their drinking it. There was 2 other small tables seated when we came in, and one more arrived after us, so it’s not like they were swamped.I get it, heaters break, things don’t always go as planned in the kitchen but that was pretty abysmal on all fronts. Food was okay, not the best, not the worst. Cars warmer than the restaurant.
I found then forgot about this place when I first moved to Gainesville, now I'm hooked. I can only tell you about the pho ga (chicken), but OMG was it good. You could taste the blend of spices in the rich broth unlike any other pho I've found in Gainesville. The noodles were perfectly done and the chicken was moist (you may think that's redundant but I've had dry chicken in pho around Gainesville). The staff was very nice and friendly, but also respectful, watching for you to turn to them rather than constantly checking on you, and still responsive when your seek their attention.
The Boba is a little hard to chew. Bún bò tastes alright but it's different from the one in Việt nam. Pad thai is a smidgen too sweet but it has a good varie
This review is only for the food truck for which we’d say don’t bother. Their bowls come with broccoli and carrots but they’re clearly frozen from a bag. There was no broccoli in sight other than frozen stems. The fried tofu was good but just doesn’t make up for the lack of quality in the other ingredients.
