Delicious delicious.I popped in after the veggie fest last Sunday.I couldn't believe the beautiful presentation and the fabulous taste of you nachos. I got a side of chili and a house salad. Unbelievable.I drove an hour, but I will be back.
I’m very skeptical about anything Vegan but Tom Kat Kafe really surprised me, brunch was delish and the bacon out of this world!! I would love to buy from them this delicious bacon, Thank you Samba ( Cook) for this amazing meal and Sue ( server) for making this experience so nice and welcoming !!!
My family and I tried Tom Kat Kafe tonight on a whim. Turns out they had a rather limited menu due to supply issues, but lack of ingredients does not stop a good cook! Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, homemade, and very tasty. I was particularly blown away with the vegan mozzarella on the grilled cheese, and the homemade tempeh bacon. I am a vegan- I've tasted every vegan cheese out there, and I called the waitress over bc I was sure they made a mistake and gave me dairy cheese. Nope. Turns out the chef has perfected his recipes for vegan cheese AND vegan bacon. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, accommodating, and checked in on us often. It really was a pleasure. We will definitely be back!

This is the best vegan restaurant I’ve been to in Gainesville Florida. I got the vegan peanut butter banana pancakes and an order of the vegan sausage and biscuits and gravy. I am blown away and will be back many many more times. Samba the chef went more than out of his way to accommodate my family and I and to get us taken care of quickly and with progressional service. This hole in the wall deserves another look, truly one of Gainesville’s best kept secrets.
The carrot hot dogs with chili, cheese and jalapenos were surprisingly good to this non-vegetarian. Service was slow, but a nice atmosphere with reasonable volume on the live music made the wait enjoyable. Definitely recommend.
Excellent food and great service! It's nice to not have to find the few things on a menu that are vegetarian.
