Early evening on Saturday. Parking takes a little bit of time and walking. Popular place so be prepared for some waiting. Inside dim lighting. Menu loaded with great selection of entrees, burgers, etc. We decided to go with burgers, they were excellent, mine was with Angus beef, loaded with bacon, onions, tomatoes, pickles, etc., very thick, and coming with French fries. Drinks were also very good, and happy hour priced, Good service.

Taco Tuesday is amazing The Tuna Tacos are one of a kind The mixologist are creative and proficient in their craft!

My family and I were at the top over grad weekend on Saturday night. The manager was so sweet, they got us a table quickly (we came in really early) the food was delicious and the service was fabulous! Tyler was our waiter and he was excellent! The drinks are wonderful, food came out hot and fresh. I totally recommend The Top when you are in Gainesville.

Love that this place has vegan options! The Buffalo tempeh sandwich is by far the best choice! Hubby tried the vegan Philly and was disappointed, the texture is way off compared to others we’ve tried and it’s super oily. They did the right thing and removed it from the bill. My mom is not a vegan and really enjoyed their Buffalo chicken sandwich. The atmosphere outside is just what we were looking for ? it was a gorgeous evening for it! Be prepared to wait it is a busy place! Staff is super sweet! ❤️ Oh and they allow pups ?

Great drinks, playlist worked, and good food!

I've lived in Gainesville for 4.5 years and my wife (a vegetarian) has asked on several occasions to visit The Top for a meal. Being an omnivore, I guess I wasn't really keen on going to a restaurant that specialized in vegetarian and vegan meals. So for my wife's birthday, I decided to take her to The Top for dinner. All I have to say is "Why did I wait so long to visit?" We started off with drinks at the bar because this place was HOPPING at 5:40 PM when we arrived and there were no seats available. My wife enjoyed the key lime martini (very good by the way) and I had an "Elder Fashioned", a delicious twist on the "Old Fashioned". When we were seated at our table, a terrific young server introduced herself and we asked for recommendations for both an appetizer and dinner. We took her recommendation for an appetizer and ordered the Garlic & Goat, baked Chevre, Roasted Garlic, peppers and sun-dried tomatoes along with cut up kalamata olives served on ciabatta bread. It was a great recommendation and we thoroughly enjoyed it. For dinner, my wife also accepted her recommendation and ordered the Top Pecan Tofu entree. I ordered the Chimichurri Grill with grilled chicken breast. Both dishes arrived fairly soon after we ordered them and as much as I am NOT a fan of tofu; I enjoyed the taste that she shared with me. My meal was wonderfully flavorful and I did not leave the table hungry. Since it was a special occasion, my wife ordered two desserts to go, Carrot Cake and their Vegan Chocolate Cake. After we arrived home and dinner had settled, we gobbled down the desserts with great gusto. Needless to say, we will be heading back to The Top again to try more of their outstanding dishes.

Loved this place! The food was good, the drinks were great, the staff was amazing! I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area!

We went to The Top around 6:30pm on a Sunday during March Madness. I only mention this because it is not a big sports bar and half of the people could have cared less.We sat at the bar which is all the way to the left as you walk into the establishment. From there you have a good view of the place. There was conversation level music in the background and most people at the bar and at the tables were not occupied by their phones which seemed to create a nice social buzz in the atmosphere. There were couples of varying ages from thirty-five or so and up. I wanted to show my friend from overseas a good, clean place with nice atmosphere on St Patty’s Day weekend and this was the place that he thought was the best.If there was a disappointment, it was less on The Top and more on what restaurants in the area are charging and that prices are not what they used to be. Their $12 classic burger (chicken not beef, w/o Tomato, onion & pickle) seemed over-prices and a little small. Again, maybe not their fault but start getting used to what appears to be the new standard. That said, it was tasted good and came out in a timely manner based on the crowd. It you are looking for a place to relax on a Sunday evening with some friends and a little bit of responsible adult atmosphere, you should put this on the list.Parking might get a little tricky if you don’t get lucky, but you can find a place not too far in a couple of minutes.

Fantastic Scratch Kitchen! The Sausage and Penne and the Smoked Meatloaf special were very good. Service was perfect. Love the Vibe on the new outdoor patio.

Fantastic experience from someone with no knowledge of the town and just passing through. Great that you can eat late here! Blackened salmon with garlic mash was delicious, my favorite meal during my stay in the US. Not a bad pint of Guinness either.
