Amazing place for craft cocktails. The bartender is knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a well made adult beverage.
So this bar deleted my previous rating and probably paid someone to delete it, but i’ll keep reviewing because i’ve had an actual experience here worth mentioning.I've read most of the negative comments a bunchof reviewers have left here and i'm honestly notsurprised. I've come to the dime for about threewhole times while living my five years here ingainesville and each and every time has been thesame. Regardless of me coming back to try andgive this bar another chance, im alwaysdisappointed. if i could leave zero stars, i would.this bar has some of the rudest bartenders you'llcome across gainesville. most of them are supercondescending and pretentious (you know whoyou are). i'm a bartender at a club and i deal withrude customers coming into by bar all the time likethey probably do, but multiply their amount by 10and make them all undergrads who barely tip, yeti'm still able to deal with my job in a professionalmanner. So, i just don't seem to understand whythe topic of professional mannerism and respectis so foreign to them.
one specific bartender is very rude. He refused service to my boyfriend because he didn’t tip him once because the service was terrible and the owner doesn’t value customers service and is just interested in the money. Used to love this bar bar but will not be visiting any longer.
There's a lot of places to go downtown for great cocktails, but not many with the quieter atmosphere. Come to The Dime for that speakeasy feel and great drinks.
