Good food priced right and great service
Our waitress was nice and attentive. But they kitchen missed on of our dishes. We said something about it and the waitress let the kitchen know. I still waited about 20 extra minutes for my plate. By the time I got my food my family was done eating. The shrimp was over salted and nothing was done to comp. We were there for over an hour and left dissatisfied with our overall experience. I tipped the waitress bc she did her job. Worked in food industry for over 10 years, this was unacceptable and we won’t be returning
Visiting Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville was a wonderful experience, the taste of the food was delicious, the place looks very clean and nice, and the attention of the waiters was really good. See you soon!!
Today I had a nice beginning of a meal at the bar at Texas Roadhouse. It was slammed but that wasn’t a problem. I ordered my usual meat n veggies, the big filet and carrots/ broccoli. I had a manager come by and say “if there’s anything you need please see us" I thought that very Pro customer. Well, I guess did the unthinkable. I ask for butter and after taking a bite of my steak realizing it’s a sirloin and not a filet I asked that my bill be adjusted. The bartender said she could not do that and she would get her manager. Different manager came by and said that’s “our filet”( period). No conversation, no ”how can I make it better for you?” Nothing he just walked away. Entered as exhibit a is a photo of “said fillet” . I eat out all the freaking time. I’m pretty sure this is a sirloin. If you look at the reviews photos, here looks the same as their sirloin. Furthermore I offered to leave it the way it is and eat it, only that my bill will be adjusted so I was charged for the sirloin. That wasn’t happening with this guy. So, I literally walked away from a full martini a steak that had one bite out of it and those veggies you see in front. Never did get my butter. Won’t be back to this place.
We were sat promptly. we ordered our drinks, which were also brought promptly. Our waiter then took our order, I ordered the country fried chicken with white gravy along with mashed potatoes with the same gravy and the house salad. My companion ordered the 6 oz sirloin with the house salad and steak fries. We also ordered the cactus blossom as an appetizer and when we sat down we were given hot rolls and cinnamon butter. The salads and appetizer were brought out promptly, the salads are a good size and the cactus blossom is quite large. The waiter was very attentive and our food was brought out just as we were finishing up with our salads. The food was well cooked. My country fried chicken was quite large. My companions steak had been ordered medium well and it was perfectly cooked. This was an enjoyable dining experience.
The food was great! Service was wonderful. The food was prepared exactly as ordered, no mistakes! Our waiter was patient with our large party! I highly recommend this place for a great meal! Of course the bread and butter is still on point! Try the sweet potato loaded!
The salmon was small and only had a few sprinkles of salt. That’s it. No sauce or flavors. I picked it up at curbside so I called and they brought me something but when I got home it was just butter and a piece of lemon. It was gross. I was disappointed. See photos. The other food was just okay. I won’t eat here again.
Was dying for a steak and happened to be in Gainesville, FL on 4/10/22 sooooo.... We stopped at the Texas Roadhouse and awaited our meal. We were seated quite quickly which was nice and the server was exceptionally nice as well. I ordered a T-bone (rare) and my sweetie ordered a 6 oz. steak too. When the staks arrived we dug in. Mine definately was not rare and was tough as hell, she ordered medium rare and it was also overdone. So I start in on mine and the first few bites were, as I said, were tough but I have had tough steaks before that turned out to be really good as I got to the center... NO SO with this one. As I worked through the steak I'd take a bite, suck out the juices and set it on the plate with the bread. So happens that the servers boss stopped and asked how everything was. Wrong question. I explained to her how bad the steaks were and, in all fairness, she did offer to get me another steak, but I had just about had it with this place. Asked for the check, figuring/assuming there might be a break on the meal... NOTHING. Paid the tab and left. Definately will not be going back to that TR or probably any other for that matter.
I normally don’t write reviews, but. Tonight it’s worth it. First. Favorite restaurant hands down. 100%. I love the food. The staff and everything. I did wanna say that our waiter Ethan tonight was amazing!. He was so sweet. And attentive!. When I come back I’m asking for him to be my waiter again!.
