The place is clean and provided good service. On the other hand, the food is mediocre but with good size portion. Disappointed with no basic Korean food, bibimbap. The fried chicken is crunchy but not much flavor and too dry.
Staff was super nice and knowledgable. Food was out of this world good! Portions were huge, we got the shrimp japchea and the rosé tteok-bokki and they were so good! My fiancé was laughing at my "mmmm so good" noises the whole time.
The food was so good, staff was super helpful and friendly. They recommended food for us and explained everything. Would 100% recommended to anyone wanting to try good korean food.
I finally got dragged here, despite the fact that the only Korean restaurants I typically visit are kbbq. They have fairly large portions and a pretty hefty price tag for a pub. I suggest going in groups for family style meals! Pretty good Korean food, definitely best in town (excluding bbq style). Sadly, the only banchan they seem to offer is kimchi, and its definitely city food. I believe they also have private rooms with karaoke as well. Our dishes were the galbi jjim and the pork belly/octopus bulgogi. The 2 entrées, 2 beers, and 2 bottles of soju ran about $110 before tip.
Not enjoyable. This is my second time here and both times were just lack luster. Where to start? I was greeted at the door and taken to a table immediately, but didn't get my drink order for a few rounds of my server coming to the table. I only ordered water, She brought watch water. The prices are a bit too high. I ordered the BBQ squid, fried chicken wings, corn cheese, and the sweet and sour pork. The BBQ squid was not worth $22 and had an eel sauce that tastes like reduced soy sauce, 12 wings but I got 11 and and half (one of the flaps was broken and the meat got fried away lol at the middle set of wings, there's a flap tip that's considered a wing.) For $15 I expect 12 full wings, the corn cheese had a strong mayo taste and was sour, and I really enjoyed the sweet and sour pork.I find it hard to believe that the owners of Beque Holic own this place as well, there's no banchan served with the meals and it's very loud due to the low ceilings and wooden floors.
Absolutely authentic korean food in a semi-casual environment. I totally recommend gathering a group friends and ordering a couple things and eating it family style. The food here is literally all good and you can’t go wrong with any choice. Entrees cost between 20 and 30 dollars each but the portion sizes are massive and food is very fresh. The place is also technically a pub so they have a wide variety of alcohols. If you’re at all confused, ask the amazing staff for help and they will definitely get you on the right track. Everything I ordered was recommended by my server and was delicious. You have to try this place for sure to get a taste of amazing korean food.
You will have to wait but it is worth it!Tastes authentic with a touch of American flavor. Surprised that these unique menus made it to Gville - not the typical Korean menus you would find in small college towns.Portions are generous - we ordered three dishes and took leftovers, which lasted for two more meals for two people.Service is top notch. Will be returning.. frequently.
Went there for the first time Friday and It was an absolute treat! We got the pork dumplings, okonomyaki, and the bulgogi hot pot. Very filling for 4 people and we probably could have just gotten away with the hotpot and dumplings. The pics were before we cooked the hotpotand after we ate half the dumplings
This is a brand new place in Gainesville. They just opened a month and a half ago. Food is delicious. I really enjoyed how they cook the food in front of you! Staff is very kind and nice ?
Authentic, delicious, and affordable! Stopped in on a weeknight and got a seat right away. Server was super helpful with recommendations on the menu. Wife and I were able to split a dish and left full and satisfied. There are many things left on the menu to try, we will be back for sure!
