Wonderful service from Amanda & Collette(?). Wonderful food! Loved my beet and goat cheese salad with chicken. And ricotta cheesecake with fresh strawberries! Thanks for outdoor dining. Will be back soon!
I have been a regular for many years and mostly loved it I especially appreciated being able to eat out on the patio during the covid years I took a couple of friends for a special dinner a month ago and had a really unusual experience We ordered fish and chips and lo and behold one of us pulled a chicken bone out of our chunk of fish - it was a chicken wing instead of a chunk of fish. Luckily our friend was OK with meat - I would not have been if it had happened to me When we showed this to our server she laughed I asked how this happened since chicken wings weren't on the menu and she shrugged and said the kitchen staff had eaten wings for lunch Not cool She brought a small replacement piece of fish - that's all This experience irked me so I called and spoke to "one of the managers" who apologized and offered to send me a gift card Of course she did not I doubt I'll be eating there again
Yummy food and excellent service from Madison. The food is plated professionally and they have fresh menu options each week.
The food was excellent! We had Calamari as a starter, which was perfectly fried and tasted fresh. Waiters were very attentive and boxed up our leftovers for us. One member of our party had the quiche, this person eats quiche at any restaurant that has it and she said it's the best in Gainesville. Very light and fluffy and cheesy. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and most things come with the option of a salad or french fries at no extra cost.
I commonly tell people that this place has one of the best burgers in town. Tonight I ordered three to go. Burgers were small (much smaller than the bun) and dry. Fries were soggy and seemed like they had been re-fried. This was not at a busy time so these should have been fresh, instead they were barely a step above fast food.Hope this isn’t a trend.
A great lil Cafe in a strip mall.Very clean establishment. Super friendly & attentive staff is enough forTo make a good impression....then there's the food....its fabulous ! (& a good value) i had the Bison burger. It was delicious & all the fixins were fresh & plentiful. The frys are surly made in house & done perfectly as well. A friend got Brie & Ham sandwich which he loved.I'm sure there are vegetarian options also, but I didn't look for them.Top notch efforts to make guests happy. Well done y'all !Looking forward to my next visit
Have eaten there 3-4 times with large group.. very Good Burgers, almost as good as Metro Diner..
This is my wife's favorite restaurant. The food is always fresh.Three years later and we still eat here often. The food is still always good and very affordable. $$. The deserts are to die for.Mildred's next door, which shares a kitchen with New Deal, is $$$$ but really elegant. Every ingredient that can be sourced locally is. The meat is grown at UF's Agricultural Department. My wife says the coffee is second to none. New Deal shares all of these features with a simpler menu. (You can order of the Mildred's menu in New Deal with 10% off.)
The food and the service was very good. Prices are very reasonable. Only one problem - very noisy near the kitchen.
First time here and we loved here! Omgosh ya'll! My fave gourmet lunch is the goat cheese beet salad with a side of the fries and lemon aioli crack and a glass of sav blanc! I feel like Im over in Europe at a cafe. Cannot go wrong with a burger ever and the vegan sloppy joe is delish! Highly recommend this yummy spot!
