This is our go to Indian Restaurant in Gainesville. The food is fantastic and so well prepared!! It really does feel like authentic homemade food. Sometimes you can even see them preparing your food fresh. The customer service is phenomenal and they are so polite and kind! It seems like a family owned business and it makes my heart so happy to know that I'm able to support them :)*For anyone who may have an issue with the pricing of the food I think it's vital to consider the amount of work and resources that goes into simply preparing that food. The prices are 100% justified. Honestly, compared to any other Indian Restaurant I have gone to in the 20 something years of my life so far, Mint Indian Cuisine has by far the BEST portions. You really do get your money's worth of delicious food.
Hello,My family and I went to this restaurant that we have been going to every time we travel to Gainesville Florida. I feel after coming back to this restaurant the Atmosphere has changed. We a family of 6 paid $115 dollars and were treated with disrespect. As a business owner I understand that you can’t please everyone and somedays are better then others. BUT… I always support family own business and that’s why I come to this restaurant but never ever never again. We will not return because of how the owner spoke to us over a plastic plate told us he could not give us to go because we dinned in not take out. First off my husband is from India and we go all over the country and out eating Varieties of Indian cuisine. The lack of Hospitality and professionalism that is needed in the restaurant industry was not available today. We are traveling a long distance and we asked him if he wanted to charge us to take the food we purchased with us we would have paid again but again a (Styrofoam plate )that you eat with at barbecues, is what this owner says we should have paid for. As a professional and a consumer, I hope this review helps humble this owner, so his business can Prosper. My intentions of this review is so the business can review and make changes. We stopped over this spot while coming back from Orlando. Fantastic food, they make dishes fresh. Dal palak to die for. Unique experience of vegetarian food. In fact best Indian food we tasted in the whole trip.
Don't let the outside appearance deter you from trying this amazing food. It has been a long time since I have had Indian food this good. Great food, nice staff, and outside seating for the pups.
Don't let the outside of this restaurant dissuade you from trying this little gem. I am continually on the search for good Indian food, and I found it at Mint. Their fantastic food is perfect for vegetarians and there are vegan options as well. Also, there are several dog friendly tables in front to spend time with your K-9.
The service was great and the food was PHENOMENAL!!! Lots of Vegan options. Inside and outside seating available. BEST Indian food we've had in a long time.Highly recommend!Seriously can't get over how amazing the food was...... it was SO GOOD!!
I’ve never left a restaurant review but I feel compelled to share…THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! By far some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Not too greasy, perfect combination of spice and flavor, super nice staff, AND vegetarian!!! We love Mint!!!
Amazing first time at Mint! I got the palak paneer and I can honestly say it was one of the best i’ve ever had. My boyfriend got the cashew curry which was just as delicious. The food was well packaged and everyone working there was very nice. Will definitely be back!!
Delicious, authentic and well-presented Indian cuisine set in a humble environment. Unlike many Indian restaurants I have been to, the kitchen is not loud and unruly but instead calm and coordinated with cordial service. This place deserves much more attention and is a great choice if you’re looking for vegan food or just trying to lower cholesterol.
Amazing food! Don’t let the modest decor of this place fool you. I would put Mint Cuisines food up against any fancy Indian restaurant from Miami any time! The owner was incredibly warm and hospitable, the service was fantastic, and the mango lassi’s were superb. We will definitely be visiting again if we ever find ourselves in town. Highly recommend!
