Great Southern Dinner. I really wanted to try the Holy Davioli but I wasn't that hungry it was a bacon chessburger with grilled chesse sandwiches as buns. Instead I had the Crossiant French Toast. It was good. April and Brett had the Spicy Honey Chicken Biscuit and they both loved it. Brady had pancakes and Brittany had a chesseburger.
On a recent trip to Gainesville, my wife and I ate breakfast three times at Metro Diner. Every meal was good, and the omelets were great. The service was excellent.
I had breakfast at this place early Saturday morning and it was delicious. Service was excellent, fast and efficient. Very reasonable prices and the kitchen was opened so you could see the infection control practices.
Food was good. Service was fine. I gave my server a nice tip but she was suppose to give me back almost a $1 in change and didn't so I had to ask her for it which was weird. I hope she handles her money more carefully.
Love this place always. We were coming to this place since my son started school at UF 3 years ago, and we love it even in pandemic started we ordered to go. I recommend this place 100.00 ?, food ,price , service. We are from Miami, Florida. ???
Great find! Not a huge restaurant, but it stayed busy both times we went back to back days. We went around noon and were able to be seated right away outside. The food is amazing. The first day I had one of the specials, Huevos Rancheros. It was good. My husband had the Shepard's pie and it was really good. The second day we went back with both had breakfast. I think it was the Bissell Plate or something like that. The eggs were cooked as ordered and tasted amazing. My husband had the hash browns and it was the first time in our 25 years of marriage I didn't see him put ketchup on hash browns. He raved about them. He also loved their bacon and had a 1/2 waffle instead of pancakes. Which he also said was one of if not the best he had ever had. Definitely the waffles are a hit there, as many people were ordering them or eating them. I also enjoyed my eggs, turkey sausage and fruit. All tasted delicious. I had the short stack too. The pancakes had a good taste, but they were a bit tough to cut. It didn't deter me from eating a good amount of the pancakes too. Service was also very good both days. We were very pleased with the whole dining experience.
Highly recommend!! Came down for a rugby game and after seeing reviews on this place, had to try it out. Boy was i glad we came!! Food was amazing especially the chicken and waffles! The service was also pretty awesome. Our server Anna was very friendly and attentive. Stop reading this review and go see for yourself! And GET THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!
Outstanding service and the food satisfied each on in our group. Large portion for the Meat Lover’s Omelette. The home fries are the best. Sausage Gravy was delicious however the biscuit bottom was too hard to cut.Coffee is very good, not watered down. The Chicken w/ Waffle’s is mouth watering, words are hard to come by for this treat!See you soon at Melbourne FL location.
Very nice upscale dinner ambiance and very good service. I had the special, the red velvet waffle with fresh strawberries and it was splendid. I also had a side of the cheesey grits and they were only okay. Not bad, but not as flavorful as I expected, and not as thick either. Definitely prefer the cheesey grits at Harry's, or the creamy dreamy grits at The Flying Biscuit. I also wish the menu had featured more breakfast options with both savory and sweet items. On the whole, though, it was a good experience and I'm eager to explore more of the menu.
We came here thinking it was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, but that was actually the Jacksonville location. Fried chicken seemed to be really popular on the menu. The members of my party who got cheese on their meal said that the cheese was gross, and even went as far as to say the cheese might have ruined the dish. The dishes without cheese, on the other hand, were good. The service was quick and efficient, and the restaurant seemed clean.
