Loosey's Restaurant in downtown Gainesville is our favorite. It's certainly worth going out of your way for either lunch or dinner. It features traditional bar and pub type fare all of which is a step above....clearly the best fries in town. It also has a fully-stocked bar. For those who believe that the pandemic is not a hoax, their outdoor seating is the best in Gainesville...umbrellas and comfortable seating in a blocked-off downtown street. There is also indoor seating as well. The staff is extremely efficient and considerate. They take careful note of food allergies and gladly assist in preparing the food you can eat. Give them a try and it's guaranteed you won't be disappointed...Hank & Myrna
I attended the Torche show last night with a few friends and I just wanted to shout out a BIG thank you to owner, Erin for being such an awesome person and accommodating her patrons like she would her friends. We had blast! The service was phenomenal. The food was great! We will def be back! Thank you so much Erin for making our experience even better. <3
Loved this place and our server Nick! Good food, good drinks, reasonable pricing. My daughter said her Burger was the best one she has ever had and my burger and macaroni and cheese were both excellent!Check out one of the pics with the unintended photo results in the background...funny! ?
I loved the atmosphere and the feel of the place and it looked like they did live music but I couldn't stay to check it out. The 3 star is mainly bcuz of the food. Although the taste of the Angus burger was pretty good as well as the fries, delicious actually, I ordered my burger med rare...what i got was beyond well done, almost too hard and dry to eat. While the rest of my group ordered med burgers and they came out perfect. Chef must have forgotten about mine.
Good fresh food, cold beverages, attentive service, atmosphere is good too! Small-ish bar with a large beer/ale/craft selection.Stage for live music.Restrooms spacious and clean.Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy.Enjoyed our lengthy time there.Will return!
The first time I went they had a really great sandwich in the menu, but the second time the menu had changed. This time I ordered french fries with my meal and they seemed to had been fried in old oil. Service is great though.
Service Excellent. Did not eat. Hot n Cold beverages great. Based on other guest and what I saw food looked great. Prices slightly high and portion size on the burgers have decreased based on another guest who informed me he's been eating here since they've opened.
I got the best burger of my life here. Great service! The waiter was very polite and we were checked up on frequently. So glad we came here!

Currently setup for outdoor dining only but it's a nice downtown setup. We both enjoyed the classic burger and fries which Lossey is known for which did not disappoint. This is a real burger and house cut fries. Although we do not go downtown to eat very often glad Looseys is still around.
