This was my first visit to Las Maragitas and let me tell you. Ask for Edgar, because he was amazing. Not only did he make us feel like family. But he showed affection and asked us questions about what we wanted. Which led me to make my decision. He helped me and made me feel welcomed. I would come back and suggest this restaurant to all of my friends. Expect me to come back because of Edgar. Because I will be back!
Food was amazing on my first visit, just after the lunch crowd. Went back next day near the end of lunch crowd, one cook had called out, so kitchen is backed up - acceptable delays. However, we ordered different dishes and food was overcooked, ingredients were missing- just average overall. We will go again after lunch crowd and hope they are as great as our first visit.
My husband and I love it and we recommended without hesitation. The attention and service is A+??
From the host to the waiter and manager this was absolutely the worst experience ever had at a restaurant. This was my first and only visit at Margaritas. The service was so poor and the food below mediocre. The waiter pretty much ignored me I had to ask for drinks and chips from two different bus boys, only one bartender smiled. My food was 45 minutes late and cold. When I mentioned my conectes to the manager he said,”sorry but did not seem sincere. He also calmed that “he was the corporate office.” There seemed to me a sense of machismo and nonchalant attitude. This is not the place to spend your hard earned cash. There are much better Mexican Restaurants in Gainesville where the staff is friendly and seems to care about their cliental. MARAGARITA’s is the worst restaurant in Florida!
We was always there but after yesterday are entire family won’t be back. I had order chicken fajitas and he ordered 2 soft tacos and enchiladas and was terrible no flavor or seasoning to any of it. Well waitress tried but still no flavor and now over cooked so I asked for manager he really didn’t care. Just walked away well we paid the bill 38.75 I was pist they didn’t take it off are bill and manager came up to the guy at register. I am so mad won’t ever be back.
Huge menu.Good food and ambiance. The prices are Great5 adults had dinner, 4 of us had alcohol, 2 of us more than once.I was expecting the bill to be above $150, but the it came at $77A place you should visit if you are in the area and like Mexican food
Nasty food. Everything we had including the chips were flavorless and worse then Taco Bell. I’m shocked this place stays open. The 2 for 1 margaritas for $7 was the only bright spot. Definitely do not recommend.
Outstanding traditional Mexican food. The service was top notch for the entire meal. I highly recommend the Acapulco chicken mealThe chips and fresh salsa are awesome to start the meal
I come from Tucson where it's hard to beat real on the border Mexican food. This place has a great vibe. Its clean. The service is fast and always super friendly. The food is better than most places I've been outside of the Tucson area. The prices are good, too. I don't ask for anything more.
I’m having a food coma after the large portions I received. LOL In all actuality, it was amazing. The guacamole was creamy and flavorful. The tacos were crunchy deliciousness. I can’t wait to go back!
