I’ve eaten here for over a decade and it’s my favorite Mexican restaurant in Gainesville! The last year has really taken It’s toll on this place. The prices have doubled, the portions have been cut by almost a third, they air conditioning is off half or broken half of the time, tables and seats are always dirty, they usually have only one or two servers and they focus on all of the online orders and have little time for the tables and worst of all the food is completely different! It’s like they hired somebody that has no clue how to prepare Mexican food! Last night was my last dinner at La Pasidita! I refuse to pay that much for that quality of food…

I had the chimi, delicious! Also tried the súper and have to say, some of the best food ive have in Gainesville!

First time trying this place.Pros: Pollo Toluca was delicious, as was the salsa served with the chips. Waiters were friendly and welcoming.Cons: Waiters forgot to bring napkins, only filled my wife's water cup instead of both of ours when she asked for more water. The rest of the food was rather bland. The mole tasted watered down and didn't have that kick I am used to. The Enchiladas were small and had little filling. Rice and beans were overall pretty bland. Did not seem like a lot of love was put into this food..Overall I was not impressed, being new in the area I will be trying other nearby Mexican restaurants before I would come back to this one. Hoping there is better Mexican in Gainesville!

Absolutely hands down the best Mexican food in Gainesville. 100% authentic. Giant burritos in real quality tortillas. Very impressed and will be back… a lot. Only Mexican food I’ve had that comes close is all west of Texas. ? ? ?

Authentic Mexican fare in Gainesville. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served piping hot. This is a local Mexican favorite, and it was busy when we dined in. Priced very reasonably for the real deal. All the classic dishes we are used to, and some extras. Kitchen was busy but worth the few extra minutes. Helpful waitstaff was more than happy to accommodate special requests.

We ordered takeout food for a party for 8 people and let me tell you, La Pasadita outdid themselves in supplying an abundance of delicious food, with all the sides and salsas we could eat. Wonderful.

This was by far the worst experience we’ve had, from the service to the food. The green sauce on my husbands enchiladas came out looking like brown gravy with a flavor neither of us could describe. A flavor we have NEVER tasted in Mexican cuisine. My carne asada had no flavor at all. And it took forever to get our food. Our waitress looked to be about 14 yrs old and had no clue what was going on and acted like she didn’t understand English at all. This was a complete waste of time and money.

I have been to this place a handful of times and the very first time was wonderful. However, the quality and service has severely went down hill the past few years. Recently went and the food was terrible, greasy, little to no meat and cold. The servers sat at the table gossiping while looking at us standing waiting to be seated. I finally walked over and asked if we could be seated and they act like they couldn't understand English at all. Finally someone sat us but didn't ask for drinks. Another 10 mins went by before they asked us what we would like to drink. Again the food was terrible tasting, nothing like the other times I went and the service was equally as bad. Will not be going back.

Actual Mexican here. Got some takeout I ordered a Plato campechano and chips and guac. This was almost 20 dollars. They took 30m+ to finish and pack the order, and then forgot my chips and guac. The food itself was very meh. The rice was clumped together and dry. The meat was good but the chorizo was a paste almost and the amount of onions was like 60% of the plate. Not coming back and wouldn't recommend

Sadly had to update my review from 5 stars to 3 stars.Food is still the best Mexican in Gainesville, the problem is the service has gone from good, to bad, to simply unacceptable. In the course of the last five visits we've had to ask for our appetizer several times and in most cases it arrived with the entree. Same with chips and salsa. Most of the wait staff either don't care or just hate their jobs. There's about two employees there who seem to want to do things the right way, the rest are completely checked out and will straight up act annoyed if you follow up on basic requests like drink refills, etc.Want your drinks and order taken within 5 minutes of being seated? .....50/50 chance. There's a decent possibility you will literally have to grab someone walking around and ask them who your waiter is supposed to be.If you order apps or chips and salsa (which are not complementary) You will most likely have to follow up on this several times, And as mentioned there is a good chance it will just show up with your entree anyway.Really stinks to have to change this review, I loved this place. The food is absolutely amazing, but they really need to invest in some servers who can at least pretend like they don't hate the customers. It's not a good look when the wait staff actively seem to try and disappear when people walk in the door. Last time we were there we watched a group of four people stand at the door for about 10 minutes before they got annoyed and asked somebody about getting seated. The worker didn't say a word, grabbed some menus tossed them on a table and gestured at it...this is with most of the restaurant being empty. Totally out of line in my opinion.
