Fantastic fresh sushi in Gainesville. This place was great. The portions we’re phenomenal and the service was awesome. I highly recommend checking it out!

On of my favorite sushi places around. The food is good. The staff is great! I usually get the Kamikaze Roll and I really like it when it is tempura fried. Sometimes I get the Pineapple Chicken, which is just...*chef kiss*. I LOVE the Mai Tai. My aunt has gluten sensitivities, but she has a wide range of things to eat here, so we will meet up here somewhat regularly. Also, when I have reading to do for class, sometimes I will just come and sit at the bar, read and snack all afternoon. The bartenders and servers are always wonderful. As much as I enjoy the food, the people are the best part (not to eat, obviously...to interact with). Do it. Go here.

My wife really wanted sushi but I only really eat hibachi. She had good things to say about the sushi. I order chicken fried rice and it was the worst chicken fried rice I have ever eaten. It was like white rice with a whole can of peas and carrots and a few pieces of unseasoned boiled chicken. I personally will not go back. The restaurant was clean and the waiter was friendly.

I sincerely enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. Staff are polite and friendly. What impressed me the most was the chef’s skill and ability in preparing the sushi rolls. The Volcano and the Samurai are beautiful and full of flavor. The rich deep flavors are amazing. I can’t wait to return and try more rolls. I think this chef has the right to claim #1. I love other places and I’m adding this guy to my list of go to places. I’d like to thank him or her. Enjoyed the edinomi and miso soup as well. Enjoy your weekend ?

Poor service because this place cannot keep staff due treating employees poorly and not paying a living wage.

The owner is terrible, the kitchen food is low quality, and they treat their staff like garbage.

always phenomenal great service and food.

Low key atmosphere and really delicious food. I really wanted Pad Thai and wasn't sure I should order since this isn't a Thai restaurant, but the chef pulled this off and everything else we ordered was fantastic!

First, our waitress was great, but everything else was a mess. I never went here before and I doubt I will go back. Worse martini ever. I asked for it with a twist. I think they added olives, realized they made a mistake, took out the olive and added a twist. My dinner came forty minutes before my wife's and 20 minutes before our appetizer. The sushi was okay, but the panang curry was so amazingly bland. I heard multiple other customers complaining about not getting food as well. So, we were not alone. Seemed disorganized and overpriced for the quality of the food. I did feel bad for the staff who tried their best to make us and other customers happy, though. In fact, the second star comes from the waitress' efforts. You could tell she was not having a fun time working there...

Not my first time here, but this time I got the chirashi sushi and a salmon maki roll. My waitress was very kind, knowledgable, and attentive, she even gave me a soup that doesn't normally come with the meal I ordered. My only compalint was that the escolar tasted a bit off to me, for which she offered apologies and 2 pieces of whatever else I wanted and, the rice was also a bit dry around the edges, not crunchy but not very fresh either. Everything else was delicious and the service was great. Definitely going back.
