Service itself was excellent although food took a long time to arrive, likely due to kitchen staffing issues. Thankfully they kept the fresh bread and butter coming!Enjoyed the outdoor seating and they easily accommodated our party of six.Also, give yourself time for parking as it can be a challenge, especially so on weekends.
Horrible front staff. Ordered door dash. They say there was computer issue and the wait time was not what was told. Ok. No problem. Tried to ask how long the wait would be and no one would give an answer. Asked the front staff 3 times to please check after waiting 45 minutes in the building to be told the kitchen is backed up and it would be awhile. Asked to speak to the manager and she said our order shouldn’t have been accepted and they would get to it when they could. All we needed was a time. An hour? 2? No answer. I understand being backed up and understaffed. But I do not understand indifference and rude attitudes. Management alone is the reason for the one star. In fact, I would give zero if that was an option.
My friend invited me out for drinks. She mentioned Harry’s and I had never been there before, but she said they had happy hour, so of course I was on board! I ordered the Blue Margarita and it was amazing! One of the best I’ve had! And it was only $6! I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were delicious. My friend ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and it was my first time trying one. DELICIOUS! Great food! Great drinks! Great drink specials! And great staff! I enjoyed it so much that I took my husband out on a dinner date the very next week! I of course got the blue margarita again! I also tried the pomegranate martini and it was nice as well. My coworkers and I will be back soon to celebrate the end of the school year!
Harry's has a predictable menu, but it is predictably good. I had Mahi Arugula with a side salad, and I was pleased with the portion. The service at Harry's is fast and professional.
It was nice sitting outside under a fan in the shade. Lisa our server was nice when she showed up -20 minutes after we were seated and had to ask for a server. My chicken Cobb salad had no blue cheese, avocado or creamy dressing but lots of onions-so a little weird. Had to ask for additional drinks and refills. Waited 20 minutes for the check and only got it after asking. Not in a hurry to return.

The food is phenomenal and the service was outstanding. We will definitely come back next time we are in Gainesville.
They get tons of free business and free money because of where theyre at and because all the laywers and dr's eat here since it's expensive and close to the courthouse . The food sucks compared to real restaurant food . Because this is in their lap they don't have to be the best at anything .
Harry’s never disappoints. We made a quick stop in downtown Gainesville to pick up a carry out order. Staff at Harry’s was welcoming and prompt and the grit cakes were spectacular as always.
Great atmosphere! Super fresh Seafood! The fried green tomatoes are AWESOME! The staff is very friendly....strongly encourage reservations.
