Good Korean food in a nice setting with a very friendly and accommodating staff. I had the shrimp shumai, the beef bulgogi, and the kimchi tofu soup. It wasn't the best bulgogi I've ever had, but then the best I ever had was at a nice hotel in Busan, so the bar was set pretty high. Everything was good and the portions were reasonable -- not huge, but filling. And the selection was more than enough to make me want to go back.
Food is ok. Not spectacular, but not bad.Service was not acceptable. When the order came and we discovered it was not what we understood from the description, waiter was very understanding and brought us something different. When both dishes showed up on the bill, the manager came and said if he will take it off, the waiter will have to cover it.This is not an example of good customer service!
Finally got to try this Korean restaurant in town, to sum up “It is really really good” My husband and I love the food and it is very authentic. Great service !
I nearly ingested plastic found in my food. Disappointed because I love the food, but this was a scary find.We ordered takeout this evening, and I ordered the beef/bulgolgi bibimbap. As pictured, it seems pieces of plastic wrap were found in my food (God I hope it's nothing more disgusting). Thankfully, I was able to find the pictured pieces, but I am HOPING I did not already ingest smaller pieces by the time I realized.I'm not sure I would recommend take-out. I've dined in once before, and that went perfectly fine.
We went here often for my fav dishes galbi and seafood pancake. While these 2 have been our must haves in the order, we tried the hot pot stew this time because of the freezing temp recently. Despite its nice presentation, it was to our great disappointment!! The bulgogi were all in the pot and as the pot was kept heated on the stove, it got too tough, while the octopus should need more time to cook, it was unchewable. I would just keep to my usual fav next time I order.
G&G has been great since they opened. The service is always really helpful. The menu is pretty extensive and (so I hear) authentically Korean. I could rave about specifics but it'll start to sound like they paid me. I'll just reiterate that they're great. The one criticism I can think of is that it's far away from everything in Gainesville except Haile, but the quality of the food and service justify the journey.
Atmosphere was great, I ordered the Beef Bulgogi, and it was DELICIOUS!
Great service and delicious food.
Good food that transported me back to 1984 and 2008 when I was station there.
Very good food and service. Eat outside end enjoy a personal chef cooking for you table side. Try something different each time you go and you won't ever be disappointed.
