Pretty solid breakfast spot. I love their French toast and waffles. One disclaimer I'd give is, pretty much everything here is very sweet, including their gravy, grits, potatoes, and biscuits. If that isn't your jam, I'd recommend trying one of their "hot" options---according to my partner, they aren't as sweet, which he prefers. Skip out on the OJ, it's not fresh and it's pricey.
Okay, I know ppl usually post a picture BEFORE they start eating but this picture is a testament to how good the food was. I could not wait to dig in! DANIEL was our wait staff and he was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. This was my first time visiting and I was very satisfied.
Great service and ridiculously good food.
Service was wonderful and attentive. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. All of our party had smiles as they enjoyed their breakfasts. However, the coffee is weak. Way weak. Step up the coffee Flying Biscuit. Men drink it.Hot Chicken and Waffle is perfect.
Great breakfast in Gainesville! Customer service was excellent. Our host got us seated quickly during peak hour. Our server Daniel was friendly and got our order right. The menu has a variety of yummy options. The food came out in a timely manner and wow, the food here is amazing! The best biscuit and grits I have ever had. The French toast was perfect. Everything was delicious. I will return to try their avocado toast.
When I first arrived, they wouldn't sit me until the other person arrived (as a party of 2). I found that a little annoying as the entire restaurant was pretty much empty. Regardless, we were able to get seated quickly. The waiter was a fantastic spirit and provide d a great perspective on the food options and want to choose. He also provided great banter. Luckily, we had some time to kill so even though the process took some time, it didn't impact us. I got the southern benedict and replaced the meat option - this was a great meal and would highly recommend the food.
Pretty good chain for classical American breakfast dishes with a little twist. I recommend the shrimp and grits. The chicken on the hangover hash was a little dry, but the dish was well-seasoned. Their biscuits are fluffy and pair perfectly with apple butter. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable. I'd come here for breakfast again.
We visited before a UF game, the place was packed but the food and service was amazing. The biscuits were a perfect touch and devoured in seconds. The mimosa flight was so fun. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and the portion sizes were great!
The food and service was amazing. Everything came out in a timely manner. Food had a lasting effect with great taste. Jus a great place to sit and eat
Some of the negative reviews have to do with wait times —it’s busy for a reason: hands-down the best sit down breakfast in Gainesville. If you visit during prime breakfast or lunch times and diners are lined up out the door, either be prepared to wait or go somewhere else. The food is consistently good—grits and biscuits are fantastic. Service is always friendly. Highly recommend.
