10/5 stars I ordered dine in a few months ago (green curry tofu and baguette plus bahn mi) and it was incredible, and tonight I ordered take out for myself and my parents and we were all blown away by how amazing everything was! And my parents are hard to please with food- this was a huge win they want to come try more and I know I will be too. We ordered the bbq pork udon bowl and the green curry tofu with basil fried rice and the fried rolls - SO GOOD. There is something for everyone here and you can tell the owners care about what they are serving. Thank you for a delicious, fresh, memorable dinner this is a new favorite for us!
Delicious food! I'm so glad we tried this place! We got:- BBQ Grilled Pork Baguette (8 inch)- Signature Crispy Chicken Baguette (8 inch)- Japanese Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (with Pineapple Fried Rice)- Vietnamese Shaken Beef Bowl (with Garlic Egg Noodle)
The best banh mi I have had in Gainesville. Yes, the prices are higher than average, but they make most of the ingredients in-house and it tastes phenomenal. I like mine lightly toasted and they accommodate every time. Go check out Red Rice Kitchen on Archer Rd. too!
I hate giving bad reviews, but the banh mi from here is just awful, especially given the price. I don’t know why I expected a good banh mi from midtown but I learned my lesson.I came here at around 4 p.m and ordered a banh mi, so not even middle of the night or anything. It came out to $10 for one 8-inch banh mi which is already extremely expensive, given that they traditionally fetch $5-$7 a piece. When I actually received the banh mi it was just not good. There was no contrast of textures and flavors like a normal banh mi has with the daikon, crispy bread, carrots, and meat. The bread itself tasted like it had been out for days and was very stale and barely warm despite just being served . The carrots were terribly cut and somehow soggy. The other toppings flavor and serving size for the price were also extremely disappointing. Even the presentation was just ugly when compared to how a banh mi normally looks.Needless to say, but my girlfriend and I both left hungry and very disappointed. Their other items may be good, but AVOID the banh mi here. It’s overpriced, not flavorful, and disappointing.
This place is a gem! The yellow curry tofu bowl with garlic noodles and the shaken beef with garlic rice are both so flavorful. Portions are generous.???
This is the first time I have been here. I ordered the Thai Spicy Green Curry Noodle Bowl with vermicelli noodles and a cold cut sandwich. The sandwich was ok. The curry though was very sub-par. I was expecting a bowl of noodles with curry sauce on top. What I got was a soup portion size of curry sauce (with veggies and meat inside) and noodles on the side in a separate box. The noodles were very over cooked which made it very difficult to eat since it kept sliding through my fork. The bowl of curry they give is also filled to the top so you can't put the noodles in it without it spilling over. The flavor was ok. Won't be returning if this is the quality of all their food.
Most delicious udon noodles I have ever had. The grilled teriyaki chicken is so flavorful! Hot and fresh meal, and huge portion size. Well worth the cost. I’ll be back ?
Always good food at Crispy Baguette. They're nice and the food may fatten you up a bit, but man, it's good. You get a pretty wide selection, and you've got 3 primary formats: baguette/bread, noodle bowl, and rice bowl.So far I've gotten the Vietnamese Cold Cut Baguette (actually eating it right now, and it's something I'm not used to but it's very good) and the Japanese Teriyaki Chicken noodle bowl with garlic egg noodles. The noodle bowl was a bit oily, but it wasn't a problem until I reached the very end of the bowl, and they gave me a lot of food. So if you have restraint, unlike me, it'll probably be good for a full meal and then a snack later on. The flavor was deep and everything was cooked just right; it was really just a really good noodle bowl. The Vietnamese Cold Cut is really good. It has two kinds of ham, cilantro, pickled carrot (I thought this might be an odd flavor, but it compliments everything else super well), cucumber, and butter. I'm not sure if it's the kind of butter I'm used to? It has almost a mayo consistency, but a mild flavor that, again, goes well with everything. The baguette itself is really good. Not overbaked, not too crunchy, not too soft. The place is well within its rights to call itself "Crispy Baguette" because that's what you'll probably want every time once you try it.Really good place. If you want lunch or dinner and you've got, say, $15 to spare, try some Crispy Baguette.
If you found this because you're undecided... Yes, go! Everything was absolutely flavorful and delicious! We sampled the seafood wontons, lemon pepper wings, shaken beef bahn mi and the crispy pork bahn mi with an italian soda. My gosh was the food excellent! ? I've been craving something to wake up my tastebuds and this absolutely it! The thing my husband and I enjoyed least was the seafood wontons (very mild seafood flavor and heavy cream cheese)...but they were still good! Definitely recommend this place and will be going back. So, not sure what you're waiting for- go... and don't be surprised if you see us there! ?
