This place is absolutely amazing! We only stayed in gainesville for two nights and still managed to go here twice because there are that many choices of salads.I got the Classic Carol on a croissant with a side of loaded baked potato soup. The soup was hot, rich and creamy, with plenty of bacon bits to spare and the sandwich was the highlight of my day. The portion sizes are very large and the staff is always super generous. We will definitely revisit this place the next time I’m in Gainesville.
I took my VERY particular mother here yesterday for the first time, and it was great. She loved the atmosphere, everyone was friendly, and the watermelon tea was amazing! Her only complaint was she'd like the grapes in her Fancy Nancy cut smaller so they're easier to chew. That's a five star review from her, I promise! Keep up the great work y'all!
Called in at 11 am to place an order. I needed the 36 mini croissants for a work lunch meeting at 12:30. I understand this was very short notice, but I reassured them that it was fine if they couldn't do it. I told them if they couldn't, the 6 of us would place individual meal orders. They told me they could have it done. I arrive at 12:00, the order isn't ready. I check back in at 12:15- I am told that they had a lunch rush and will have it shortly. I waited 50 minutes for the order and completely missed my meeting. Again, I understand that the order was placed on short notice, but when 20+ other orders are being filled and I am waiting around for an hour 8 months pregnant, that's not okay. They didn't check up on me or give me an update a single time. Will not be returning here, not even for a meal for myself due to the awful customer service.
I was skeptical that a restaurant that mainly sells different kinds of chicken salad would be any good, but this place is fantastic! Everything is fresh and tasty, options to have just a scoop of salad or a sandwich, tasty sides, and food other than chicken salad if you're not feeling it. Not a great vegan or vegetarian choice, although my husband really enjoyed his egg salad. I'll be back!
If you like chicken salad, then Chicken Salad Chick is the place to go. Multiple variations to choose from and all delicious in there own unique way. They also have a nice selection of sides, soup and salads. Eat inside, outside, or take it to go. Nice clean dining room and it's open, light and bright.
The food is great; I have ordered ahead for pickup, ordered delivery and dined in. However, when dining in, they were out of the chicken salad I wanted, out of unsweet tea (which was not filled the entire time we were there, although we were told it would be taken care of), and the fountain beverage machine was not working properly (no soda water, so unless you liked your soda flat, you were out of luck). That also was not fixed during the time we were there, and we were not offered an explanation or anything as to why.This sort of thing is just typical of Gainesville though, as most employees are college students or younger who just don't really seem to care much.
First time here and it is my new favorite! They'll give you a sample of any flavors so you can choose wisely from the many varieties of chicken salad. I got the little platter - a scoop of Olivia's Old South, with macaroni and cheese side. It also came with a yummy shortbread cookie for dessert! So good I grabbed some to take home!
First time visit today. It will not be the last!Nice change of pace and place for a bite to eat. A healthier bite to eat.I forgot to take pics of the food cause we were starving...and the wait was over 20 minutes to have our food brought out.Long wait for sure, for a quick eatery.Hubby had the chicken dumpling soup and liked it a lot.I had the Fancy Nancy on a crossiant with a side of broccoli salad. First of all.. I could live off the broccoli..my goodness is it ever good!The chicken salad flavor didn't stand out against the crossiant to me... And there was a ton of leaf lettuce on the sandwich..and tomatoes.. When you ate just the chicken you got the simple and delicious flavors. So..next time I will work with a scoop and the crackers so I can enjoy it more.The cookies were a nice and tasty surprise. Very good too.The atmosphere is homey, all the way to the tablecloths and little shelves with home decor on them.Bathrooms were super clean and spacious.The staff was very mindful, helpful and did their jobs well.Def a go back and explore more of the menu kinda place!
They had SO MANY different varieties of chicken salad! I give them a 10 out of 10! This was my first time trying this place and Trey was SO helpful and friendly. The Barbie-Q chicken salad was a flavor I didn't expect to love so much. I can't wait to try their other menu items!
Very impressed with the quality of food, overall price versus portion size as well as the service. You don’t last evening of 1/17 was very courteous and friendly. Love the pickle and cookie as an added touch! We will definitely be back to try more salad flavors!
