The food was excellent! I had a seafood platter that came with fish, scallops, shrimp, clams, a deviled crab and 2 sides. Our server Jackie... I believe was very friendly and attentive too our table. We will definitely be going back.
Had a very good waitress, and ok food. I think the oil was past due for replacement. Went back a couple of day later with a group and the food was great. Unfortunately it’s kind of the luck of the draw as to what it’s going to be like on any given day.
So while visiting Gainesville, Fl I used Google to help find a good seafood restaurant.I found this one and read the reviews which were very good. I have this thing when I read where someone say "this place is a hidden gem" that's all it takes for us to try it. And let me say we are big seafood eaters and this place has made the top 1st place on our list of the best. Our waiter was Brian and he had fun making us laugh, which you don't find that much anymore. As a matter of fact you could by his actions he enjoys his job.. And I might add my husband has a service dog and they welcomed her as one of us. So do yourself a favor and the next time your in Gainesville FL go to5141 NW 43rd St #101, 32605YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
We really enjoyed our dinner here on a Saturday night. We sat close to the front and noticed that there were a bunch of take out orders. The atmosphere was friendly and casual. Our server was pleasant, our food was fresh and we would definitely eat here again. It seemed like a very popular place with people in the neighborhood.
Good lunch , fairly priced. Had shrimp, fish .collards, okra tomatoes. Wasn't super great but not bad. Small shrimp prolly frozen. Part of flounder not cooked (not raw but close).staff super friendly. Wanted hot sauce, bottle on table had no lid so just didnt bother sure if i asked they would got one. Would go back
fast service by a very nice waitress and the food was great. I highly recommend cedar river seafood!
I’ve always loved the food at these restaurants but this location took it to another level!! After a pretty traumatic morning attending a funeral for a loved one, my family wanted to just eat good and chill. I called ahead knowing CR doesn’t take reservations but they made accommodations for us and continued to do so after we arrived and our party size kept changing. All of the staff were nice and helpful. Q was our server and she was amazing! A bright spot to our dreary day!

We went here for the first time & it was such a great experience! When we got here, it was packed but all the employees were friendly, professional & efficient! Despite the huge crowd of people, we were seated in less than 15 mins! Our waitress was awesome & even though she was slammed, she gave us awesome service! The food was delicious & fresh! We will definitely be back!
