They have the best mexican food in Gainesville HANDS DOWN! My personally favorites are their chimichanga and gator bites. They have a variety of food items, some of which are customizable. Definitely recommend to go try them out. Food was made fresh. Great quality and service!
The eclectic atmosphere excites the palate when entering Boca Fiesta. The party starts at the door with the friendly staff and an exciting bar and then continues to the table with the contactless menu and an eager server. Not to mention the vegan macaroni and cheese balls. Yum!
Visiting Gainesville for a film shoot and was told aboit Boca Fiesta. A few locals agreed it was a solid place and so I made it a point to go. Got there around 8? Didnt seem too busy but it was also raining. Had a good energy. Decided to sit at the bar. Ordered a beer and queso to start. Queso was good and came in a nice sized mini cauldron. Beer was in a mason jar and given the day I had, may have tasted extra nice. Before ordering I saw they had gator and knew I wanted it but also acknowledged that it was taco Tuesday. Their deal was out of a selection, 2 for $5. Pretty good deal. Choose between hard, soft and traditional. Ended up getting a hard gator, soft chicken and traditional pork. Food came out in a timely fashion. The gator was certainly my favorite of the three. Perfectly fried and the chipotle sauce with it was nice. The pork is shredded but didnt quite taste like carnitas. It seemed closer to a stew pork if that makes sense. It was good. The chicken kinda of fell flat for me, nothin special. I also didnt like the plain bed of lettuce in my gator taco as well as on the plate for said taco. It just, didnt do anything. Not enough sauce to coat and too much to pack into my taste hole.All in all, its a solid spot with solid prices but I wasnt blown away. Check it out, sit at the bar and have a taco/beer. The bartender, Lindley, was great!
They made us mash out own avocado for guacamole and though the owners are tequila snobs, their quality of margaritas were the worst I've in Gainesville here thus far. The staff was in disarray, granted, it was very busy, but our server didn't even know we existed until about 20 minutes into our experience. The food quality was terrible as well. Avoid like it's covid.
Currently sitting at the bar at Boca Fiesta. First impressions: I was nicely greeted by the hostess and nice music was playing. Make my way to the bar and enjoy a modelo on draught - deliciously crisp and cold. Next came some chips and an excellent salsa. Finally I ordered a chimichanga and michelada that were both of high quality. Excellent service and bartender. Great experience overall, best Mexican place in Gainesville hands down.
Boca Fiesta was excellent. The location is completely central, right by the Hippodrome. Dinner was wonderful, and the server friendly and gracious. This is a highly recommendable place
Great food and atmosphere. Service is okay at best. In particular there is a male bar tender that consistently snaps at me and my friends with a rude tone, unprovoked. Never have we been anything but relatively sober and nice customers, yet we get nothing but sass and barking in return. Would be nice to have a pleasant experience at the bar for once. Cheers
My partner and I went here on a Saturday at around 6:00 and Shanti was our server.. We started off with some guacamole (DIY because they give you a bowl of avocados, a masher, and some spices to mix in, SO GOOD!) and then I had a regular margarita, my partner had the Boca Marg and both were so delicious! We had a buzz the entire night and enjoyed the drinks very much. Our dinner was steak burritos and they hit the spot perfectly. One of the best date nights we’ve had since Covid and we’re so grateful for the wonderful service provided by Shanti and if you get to choose, sit outside! They put together a very nice atmosphere and it was very comfortable. Highly recommend!
Been here a few times and the food is always great! The queso, gator, and tempeh is particularly tasty. Don't sleep on this place, it's a cool place in downtown to get food! Also their dinosaur theming is top notch, extra points for that from this dinosaur lover ?
Everyone in this parking lot gets a negative review for the horrible parking situation where the signs are not accurate and you should be straight forward. This is my vengeance for the $100 you took from me.If the food is like their parking policy, enjoy sitting on the toilet
