So much fun! Played all kinds of games, chilled, drank, and danced a bit. It was just perfect and such a fun innocent time for adults that don't want to do the full out clubbing scene. Would recommend everyone go at least once ???
Great place, free skeeball on many nights. Games are well kept. No drink specials but reasonable prices. Fun free music on a lot of nights as well
Love the changes they've made to Arcade Bar since they closed down for Covid. Expanding to the space behind the original bar, bringing so many games down to the first floor of that new building, and making it open to anyone til the bar opens at 8. I love pinball and it's the only place in Gainesville to find it!!
Had a horrible experience with the staff. They denied entry to my friend who is older than I am. We’re all over 21 and have had no issues with entry in any Gainesville bars. They were definitely on a power trip after using a light to check it and still denied it. They threw the ID on the table and wouldn’t speak to us. They definitely need new bouncers who can do their jobs. Avoid if you can.
Definitely a unique and super fun place to go to! A bar and arcade on the bottom floor, arcade on the second floor, and the top is a bar and dance floor with Skeeball. Exhange money for coins into the machines, which isn't that expensive either. Fair warning that mixed drinks with orange juice have pulp! A must go for bars and clubs in Gainesville!
Some decent games and the price to play wasn’t terrible. They could have a better bar. The 1st floor bar is terrible. Limited beer selection in cans and nothing on draft.
Barcade is one of the best places to go out to when in Gainesville. The recent addition of the second half provides an even larger selection of great games to play with friends. The arcade versions of MarioCart are a blast. I also recommend finding a group to play co-op games like Queen Bee. They have an incredible collection of Pinball machines as well! The alley connecting the two venues always has a DJ or some kind of music playing to provide a place in between to get your dancing in. You have to go out here at least once if you’re living in Gainesville.
This arcade takes me back in time. I found the games were so much fun! On Wednesday you can SKEE for Free! Check it out.

My friends arrived at arcade bar with good intentions, the staff was rude and made defamatory comments. I’ve been coming to arcade bar for years and have typically encountered decent service, the last time was ridiculous, he made comments about my friends mother, this was uncalled for.
