Food and Service were excellent. Place is elegant and quiet. The filet medallion was delicious and cooked to the term I really like. Drew was excellent.

Out of several menu items including lasagna! Food mediocre, veal tough, pasta cold, bread burned and reheated. Good service, great bar. Don't plan on going back.

Another perfect meal at Amelia's. Food and service are top notch. Only troublesome part was the change in parking (not the fault of Amelias). Couldn't get the parking thing to work on my phone - we'll be avoiding parking in the lot due to the headache & having to worry about the car getting towed. Blame the city of Gainesville for that!

Average food for a well above average price, will do anything they can to upcharge you

My wife were engaged here in 1998 after her graduation from UF and this was our first visit back!

When we arrived on a Sunday night at 6:30 pm, we were put into a corner of a very tightly laid out room (as in I could reach the table next to me without reaching). The wait staff, while courteous, were completely in over their heads. It took about 15 minutes for a server to come by, after which we had to ask for the drink menu, which took another 10 minutes. Sensing how things were going, we ordered our drinks and food then and there. At the 52 minute mark, we hadn't recieved our drinks, appetizers or even the complimentary bread which came with the table. We left and went next door to Liquid Ginger, a Japanese restaurant with great service and food.

We asked for the pasta to be separate since we had a guest who could not eat it due to medical reasons. After rec’ing the dish, we notice the noodles were crispy on top and dried out and not separate from the shrimp. Maybe too long under the lights. Our guest could not eat their dish since it was with the pasta. We did not ask for a replacement or comp. There were only 2 servers and they were busy. Our wine was good and the bread was hot with butter. Parking is weird, but you’ll need to walk it off if you are able to eat your meal.

Thank you Drew and team for the great service. The food was exceptional especially the surf and turf special and the lobster ravioli. We will be back whenever we visit Gainesville!

From the moment we were seated to the last sip of my coffee, everything was excellent. Our waiter, Adam, was very personable and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable.

I really liked Amelia's because the service was very personal, the ambience was formal with table covers, and patrons spoke quietly. The seating is very close. I liked the menu selections which included a lot of seafood. The portions were ample and the meals were as described. I was worried that the Shrimp Amelia that I ordered which included garlic and lemon would be too garlicky because I forgot to ask about the amount of garlic, but it was perfect because there was not too much garlic and the lemon balanced the sauce. Both my garlic and lemon sauce and my husband's tomato based sauce (also on fish) were light and refreshing rather than heavy and creamy. The bread had a good crust and was served with real butter.
