We came for Saturday brunch. The restaurant was fairly full but we did not wait for an inside table. We started with the apricot mimosas and omega soft boil egg. Then had the bacon quiche and la Norvegienne. The food was well prepared and attention was given where needed, ie flaky crust, salmon portion, creamy yolk of soft boil, and great acidic vinaigrette on kale side salad. The atmosphere is very much like a busy street corner of France but not so loud you cannot talk at your table. A very good brunch and time will spent.

We had a four-course meal with wine and liquor cocktails and everything was amazing. The friendly servers were highly attentive and helpful. Looking forward to taking our French family members on our next visit.

Some days ago I was looking for romantic sceneries for dinner in Gainesville, and tonight I finally found it. We had a great Rendez-Vous at its charming patio. The wine list won’t disappoint any oenologist, the menu options are mouth watering, portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the good service completed this perfect date.

Alpin bistro is one of my go-to gainesville downtown restaurants. The owners really care about the food and staff. It gets very crowded on the weekends. The wine listed has been revamped to include some great old world red and whites. I also like the intimate bar area in the corner.

Pretty perfect cocktail, excellent soup, gorgeous salad. A really pleasant experience with terrific service and unpretentious atmosphere.

Love everything about this place. One of only a few restaurants with high quality and well sourced ingredients. Best Saturday brunch!

The best place in Gainesville by far!! 10/10 We are from the north east where we are lucky enough to enjoy some of the best varieties of food in the country. When I say this restaurant was absolutely delicious, I don't mean "by Florida standards" (harsh, I know but, you know what I mean). Alpin Bistro's food was exceptional and would stand up in any major city. While visiting Gainesville (for over two months) we stumbled upon this gem accidentally our first night of our trip. We were so excited about the food in Gainesville after eating here because if we had just happened to find such an awesome French restaurant on a whim, what other amazing places would we find?! We tried all of the best recommend restaurants (Alpin not being on any lists or forums, I'm assuming because of it's newness) and realized that NO OTHER restaurant was as good as this one. Everything was absolutely delicious - food and drinks both. Also, it is super vegetarian friendly - they even had a vegetarian French onion soup which was UNBELIEVABLE. The fact that we found literally the best place in Gainesville on our first night was a blessing and a curse - we were so happy and lucky to have found it, but on the other hand, nothing else compared! We went back for brunch a few weeks later and it was just as delicious. We sat out back on the patio and had just as great of an experience. Do yourself a favor, and go to Alpin asap!

Great food and ambiance... dinner in the patio was perfect for our big party of 10.Our waiter Luis Carlos did an excellent job with recommendations and he was extremely kind and fun. His knowledge of the menu and the specials made ordering very easy.

This place is so delicious it’s honestly obscene. There is incredible care put into every component of your dining experience, from the wine pairings to the dough itself. Highly recommend venturing out to try their daily specials, the special tart and dessert were beyond delicious!Super friendly service and a welcoming patio for outdoor dining. Every dish was clearly homemade in the best way, with loving attention to detail in every layered flavor. Bite after bite, Alpin is absolutely astounding.

Bit of joke. Y’all think this is nice. Y’all need to get out. Profitable. Mediocre. Not worth it.
