I was excited to visit The Gulf from what I had googled and I was not disappointed! Beautiful views and lovely atmosphere. The tuna dip was yummy and the bottomless mimosas are so worth it! We would definitely return!
So glad I found this place! My favorite place to hang out now. The food was amazing as well as the cocktails. The seating is amazing! Especially the big lounge sofas by the water. My favorite part was the view of the sunset with all the palm trees and the music was also amazing! Really nice staff and reasonable prices. Can’t wait to go back?
This was a great place to visit, the outside restaurant eating area, bar area great atmosphere, lots of seating relax have a drink.We were there for the Caddywampus catamaran ride totally worth it, 50.00 (40.00 seniors) 3 hour trip (morning trip, afternoon and a sunset trip) see the dolphins, stop for swim and snorkeling lunch. Tony the captain and Christian first mate were awesome, friendly I highly recommend this, they do private (larger,) family trips too. Kids can get a chance in the captain seat to drive the boat! We have it a 6 thumps up!
Great vibe, great view, great outdoor entertainment, great cocktails, BUT expensive food! We had the smoked tuna dip (awesome!), and split the very small seafood boil (bland $60 with zero spices, no butter or other condiments, AND only big enough for one person)! 4 STAR place with food… 5 STARS if we wouldn’t have ordered food. BTW… ask the bartender for Blackberry Smoothie Mojito, you will not be disappointed! Also, we had plenty of room to park our 25ft RV… cheers!
This restaurant is a sanctuary hidden away from all the traffic nearby. The food was amazing and worth the money. Service was great. And the views were incredible! One of the best restaurants I have ever been to.
Initial service was friendly -- you place your order at the counter, they give you a pager, you go sit down and they are supposed to find you based on that pager. We asked if we could sit upstairs in the air conditioning. They said yes so that's where we went. It looked like they were prepping for a private event, but they assured us we could be up there. Lots of folks in "the Gulf" tshirts walking around. No one makes eye contact or asks us if we need anything -- clearly not their job. I finally catch the eye of the oldest person I see and clarify that they will bring us our order when ready. 30 minutes goes by and still no food. We go downstairs and first are told they're working on it, then they admit that they cleared the order without making it. No offer as to why. They quickly make/remake our order and bring it up, along with free frozen cheesecake for 4 -- there were 5 of us. The food was fine but not anything special.
We had dinner there with 3 kids and 3 adults and spent over $100. The atmosphere and location are great. You sit right along the bay and watch boats go by from the outside tables. The food however was disappointing. My wife had the $8 burger which she said was good the the rest not so much. I had the po boy shrimp sandwich which was large but the shrimp were room temperature and not at all crispy. My daughter had the chicken sandwich which was just so so. One kid had grilled cheese which was okay but the two with chicken tenders didn't like them. None of them even finished their fries. I also ordered the loaded french fries for $8. I expected more than two layers of soft fries (not crispy at all) with a bit of cheese and bacon bits. The restaurant is unique and the view is great but don't go expecting great food.
The food and service are both top notch. We ate here twice while on vacation. I got the tuna poke bowl both times and it was so good my wife got the same thing when we returned the 2nd time. Will definitely be back next year when we are vacationing here.
Excellent service and the the apps that we had were delicious. But what sets this place apart is the atmosphere. Just an incredible place to relax and unwind. A must.
Loved this place. Such a great vibe. Live music, good food and drinks. The outdoor seating is great and quite spacious. Easy parking. There’s a little gift shop at the entrance.
