I stand corrected about Okra. In the South last 20 years every experience I had eating Okra I thought I was eating wood. Stewby's taught me when prepared fresh Okra taste has a good flavor I compare to zucchini. Now for the Fish of the Day dinner pictured. I watched as it was cooked to order including the fries. Grilled Amber Jack was delicious. Those traveling through ad locals looking for a clean meal, Stewby's is worth your time and money.

This is a terrific place to grab FRESH local seafood. This food is prepared after you order so you should expect to wait about 10 min for your order - BUT WOW it's worth the short wait. Don't forget to try their Key Lime Pie - a great way to end your meal
My family came here on vacation. We had to drive about 30 min from where were staying in Destin (totally worth it). Seafood was really good but at a reasonable price. Atmosphere was simple but quaint, like something off a hallmark movie. We would totally go back.
Best seafood ever! Staff is extremely friendly and food is amazing. I had the shrimp platter and it's the best. The potatoe salad is also amazing and the greens. Everything there is good.
Excellent food, and outstanding friendly service. The employees were super welcoming to all, and chatted with everyone like they knew them for ages. My kids and I ate here twice during our 4 day trip, and even my picky eater loved the fish tacos. Laid-back environment was nice, felt local.
Stewby's was a nice place to eat. I ordered the softshell crab dinner with seasoned fries and baked beans. I also ordered a large gumbo to go.The crab was seasoned and fried to perfection and the fries were delicious. I cannot comment on the beans as they were missing from my order. However, the Gumbo was very tasty and left me wishing I had ordered more...Worth the price paid: Yes.
Every local we asked said this place has the best seafood in the area so we tried it. It lived up to its reputation. We had the daily fish special, shrimp gumbo, grilled shrimp, and chicken strips; everything was excellent! Line out the door and into the parking lot should tell you something. Loved it.
Have been to the Ft. Walton location before - really enjoyed my meals there, so tried out Crestview this past weekend. Great amberjack, beautifully cooked, and I swear *the best hushpuppies* (wish there was a jalapeno option, though). Everyone enjoyed their meal - will be back!
Our food was great, the service was friendly. I definitely recommend this place. Hush puppies were really good, my husband enjoyed his gumbo. The chicken sandwich was great.
