If you're in Ft Walton this is the BBQ joint to go to. Tried just about everything on the menu. They have 6 different options of in house sauce. Sides are great but the kicker for me was the chicken. Usually the chicken is dry at other places. Here it was on point. Wish I had a place like this at home.
Quick lunch service. Had the Chicken and side potatoe salad. Add your own sauce and pickels. Good tasting and portion
No beef of any kind. I almost left. Up charge to have ribs that taste boiled. Must use lots bbq sauce to eat. Half of the menu is just different styles of hot dogs, not even bbq. You only get one side with the meals, and they are small sides. Won’t eat here again. Bbq in the area hasn’t been good. Kinfolks will suffice until I get back to Texas
Awesome place to get ice cream - nice size portions for the cost! Didn’t get the BBQ but smelled delicious! Very kind and friendly staff
Out of everything. Rude staff
We ate there Fir the first time last week. they forgot my sandwhich and luckily we caught it in the car. Had to go back in and get it. We weren't impressed. It was just ok. Kinfolks is still #1!!
Went for lunch today and i was not impressed. For 2 meats and 2 sides with a drink came out alittle over $20. I don't mind paying for food that is worth it but sad to say this wasn't up to the standards of the prices. Pulled pork was very dry and the sausage taste just like conecuh. The sides Mac & cheese and sweet potatoe casserole. The Mac didn't do it for me either and had more of a liquid form to it. However the sweet potatoe casserole was good and I could of ate more of that no doubt. It was the best thing on my plate today. As we all know prices have went up on everything but the portion size in my head was a bit small for the price. All the Good reviews we figured we would give it a try but it let us down.
Listen to the reviews- the portions were small and everything on my plate lacked flavor. My brisket and pork tasted as if it was boiled. Zero seasoning and didn't taste like bbq at all. The baked beans tasted like ketchup. The Mac n cheese tasted like Kraft.Overpriced food paid $59 for mediocre food.
I've eaten here many times since the place opened. It's always good. I bring friends from Memphis who loved it. The sides are like Grandma's. The potato salad and beans, etc. The pork sandwich was always piled high and w included side a good meal. I send people here.I was very disappointed on last visit. The sandwich was skinny as hell. No pork. I understand the prices of everything have gone up. I would rather pay more for the sandwich that I have come to know and love than pay the same price for no pork. I will give it one more chance, that's all.
So this is not real BBQ brisket. Red Bean and rice was ok rice was old and crunchy.
