OMG what an amazing food. The place is super cozy, I love the story about the house and that is a family run business. Prices were a little to high for what I normally pay but it was worth every penny. Portions are super big and the quality is to die for. Call in before you go because it is by reservation only and you will not be able to get in if you don’t have a reservation. The owner was the hostess and she was extremely friendly and even help us out to surprise out kids with dessert and candles for their birthday. Very nice experience and amazing food.

Great experience fantastic meal. Our party had the blackened amberjack and chicken fettuccine. The museum was great. Our server Cassie did an excellent job. I rate this as the best restaurant on the gulf coast now.
Our first time to dine at Magnolia Grill and we are in love. We called to make last minute reservations as we never plan ahead and we ate early. Our little party of three turned into 8 and the owners were very accommodating as we called to let them know about our reservation change. We travel and dine out regularly. The experience was wonderful. The calamari appetizer was tasteful and plenty to go around. We ordered everything from Italian food to seafood and even the tomahawk steak. I don't think I'd ever seen a tomahawk that big. We will definitely be back on future visits.
This was a LOVELY restaurant, family owned and food to DIE for! Absolutely a "locals" favorite. Can't wait to go back again!
Atmosphere and location are top notch. The food, not so much. We had the chicken and dumplings and the owner's daughters chicken sandwich. The dumplings were frozen noodles, the vegetables with it were frozen as well. The chicken sandwich was a frozen chopped chicken patty. I wanted it to be so much better but it effectively was hospital food in a great location.
This place has the biggest and best softshell crab sandwich I've ever eaten and I've had a bunch all over the US. The atmosphere is great and the people are super friendly. The deserts are second to none. This is one of our favorite restaurants when we snow bird as it is always priced right.
Service was excellent. Our server Megan was amazing and personable. Why two stars? The food quality did not match the price tag. My steak was more gristle than meat, the Alfredo was bland and pasta rubbery in texture. Also they drowned the steak in a brown sauce to mask the fact that they burnt my steak which by the way, I noticed. The vegetables that I know were frozen were nothing to write home about and may have come from Sam's Club. For a FWB institution, this place did not live up to its reputation of fine dining.
We had a wonderful experience eating there. Service was great as was the food too. White linen dining at an affordable price. We talked to the owner Tom and he was gracious as could be. He was a wealth of information and told us how Magnolia Grill came to be and all about this historic house where all this wonderful food is served. Can't wait to come back!
This an old home with some history, turned into a great restaurant. Although a little high price wise it was excellent food , great service and great atmosphere. We always pick one really nice place for one meal on vacation. This was it. Had enough to take some back to our rental for a lunch. Highly recommend.
