Staff is unfriendly, room has some strange stain on the wall. They never freshened up our room on a 4 night stay. I asked for fresh towels, they leave them in a bag outside the door and don’t bother taking our old ones. Do not stay here, you will be disappointed. Location is the only reason for 2 star review.

It was a very stunning view from our hotel room and the water was at perfect temperature. There were great stores and delicious restaurants that we went to. We had so much fun and the rooms we stayed in were very welcoming to us. The food served was great!

You will not regret it. The food is delicious & the Drinks are great. There is a lot of stuff to do for everyone in the family all day. It is connected to the beach, really close to harbor walk as well. The room is really clean & staff is great! Dj has great music with trivia

Awesome people run this place! Super cool for kids as well adults! Best dj and bartenders around! Kids love the bunkbeds in suite. Super clean and friendly hotel right on the white sand! Will definitely return!

Aside from the stunning beach front location and fun lazy river style pool, this hotel was a disappointment. While pool was a nice size, we never saw any hotel staff outside cleaning the area or pool and it showed. Also people would reserve chairs with their towels and belongings hours in advance - really? Beach was very nice - soft sand, clean, and just steps from pool area. Overall the hotel is in need of a deep clean and refresh. For the price we paid, we expected more out of the room and property. Our ocean front balcony room overlooked all of the mechanical equipment of the hotel and we heard a constant hum from the fans and smelled whatever the restaurant was frying or cooking at the time. We made a conscious effort to look past that to enjoy the views of the beach and pool. Our room needed a bathroom overhaul - dirty caulking in and around the tub and a flimsy old shower curtain. The tub faucet was hanging out of the wall. Linens were as cheap as they come. No housekeeping service or trash removal during our 3 night stay. Breakfast was a decent variety for the buffet but food quality was average at best. Breakfast servers were very friendly however. If we come back to the area we'd likely try a different property.

Let me start off by saying that my husband and I have stayed here three times before and it has always been one of our favorite vacation spots. This stay was different. 1-We were charged over $600 per night to stay here which is outrageous even in this economy. 2-while we were there, the following things were either broken or had to be replaced. A: the air conditioner did not work but a maintenance person came and slid the old unit out and put a different one in. B: our mini fridge never cooled, 4 hours later a maintenance person came, took the old one out and put a new one in C: the hair dryer did not work. I called the front desk & someone came and took the old one out and replaced it. D: the sink in the bathroom took 5-7 minutes to drain. It was terrible. E: everyone in our room (4 people) had to take cool showers, the water never got remotely warm. When I called the front desk and told them about it they told us that if we kept using it, would warm up. It never did. This was by far the worst experience that I/ we have ever had. It's obvious that this location is NOT being maintained and that we will not be going back to this location EVER again. IHG needs to do something about this location. It's no longer a real resort, but it is a real disappointment. ??

Overall its a decent hotel. The staff were all excellent and friendly. We got our room at a discount and thats about all its worth. At $400+ a night normal rate I would expect a lot more, like a set of complimentary beach chairs. Those are $50 a day extra. Continental breakfast? Nope, $16 per person for the buffet. The restaurant in the hotel is nice and the food was good. The bar had a good selection of drinks. The pool was nice and they supplied floats for the lazy river. We did have a beach front room, so we had a nice view, but the rooms are standard hotel rooms. IMO, there is nothing "resort" about this hotel. Also, there was a $10 fee for parking for your stay. Overall we did enjoy our stay here, but we will probably look for something else next time.

Recently spent more than a week staying at this resort for the first time. I had read many reviews prior to booking this hotel as the price seemed incredibly steep for a Holiday Inn hotel. Let's just say that I have stayed in top tiered Disney resorts on multiple occasions and paid less. Perhaps I expected Disney level service for this price but that was not the case. Here is a list of our pros and cons from the trip: Pros: - Location is very convenient. Immediate access to the beach and walk to the restaurants on the boardwalk. - My kids LOVED this place. It is very family friendly with many activities available each day for children. - The menu items from the on site restaurant were better than I would have expected, but not fantastic. - The adult beverages were great. Cons: - Not being greeted upon arrival for check in. I was the only one at the front desk and the clerk was right there typing on her computer. I had to acknowledge her before she acknowledged me. - The room is just okay. Dated for sure- the kids loved the bunk beds and separate TV area. - The "ocean" view from our King/Bunk Bed Family Suite was partially obstructed by a wall. We had an end unit and I would not recommend this room location. Also, the view for us included the roof the tiki bar and the pool bathrooms. They were not pretty. - If you want to go to the beach, be prepared to pay $50 per day or $19 per hour to utilize the hotel chairs and umbrella. These also get reserved quickly due to the day pass clientele coming in each day. You are better off buying an umbrella and some cheap chairs from the local store if you plan to use this for multiple days. - The breakfast buffet was good, but it was the same food each day so it got old after a while. - Upon checking into our room, there was an old dinner plate sitting outside the door with the looks of breakfast leftovers on it. We arrived to our room at 3:00 PM. That same plate sat there for two days until finally my husband had to ask one of the cleaning staff to take it. - We were there for 11 days and our room was cleaned twice. We had to ask for those days and for fresh towels each time. The cleaning staff was very friendly but seemed overworked. - From a cleanliness perspective, the hotel staff was always cleaning however it always seemed dirty. A lot of trash left behind by patrons and people walking in out of the lobby and in elevators dripping wet made for some slippery situations. We constantly found cigarette butts by the pool area each morning even though it was "not smoking" in that area. On the last day, my child stepped on someone's wad of gum on the ground that they had just left. - The pool was dirty most days. A lot of sand and debris in the pool each day and the water was noticeably murkier on mornings after a lot of guests had been using it. I never once witnessed any staff member cleaning this pool. - They advertise "dive in movies" but most of the days, they did not play the movies at the outside pool as advertised but instead the movies were at the small and hot indoor pool area which did not allow for much seating or room for families to enjoy. - My biggest complaint about this hotel is that they sell day passes to anyone for a very small fee each day (compared to room prices this was a steal. Look it up and compare it for yourself. With the neighbor hotel having a shared pool already and people coming in and using the beach and pools as day passes, it took a lot of space away from those paying to stay on site. There was often not a place to sit at the pool or the beach by 10 am each day.

The place is excellent. The property is beautiful and the service is impeccable. Our servers Leanna and Raiven were excellent. They were friendly, welcoming and professional. Bartender Joe was great, he is a master bartender and an all around great host. We also met Chief Engineer Stephen who gave us great tips for having a great vacation here. The front desk staff was excellent as well. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the pool and dining facilities are beautiful. Excellent beach. I highly recommend this resort. I would give this place a bezillion stars if I could.

We stayed here for 2 nights at end of June in the king ocean front suite with bunks. The room could definitely use some updating but was clean. The bunk area comes with TV and Xbox but neither was hooked up (I didn’t call because we weren’t in room that much). The pool area is very nice and it’s a short walk out to the beach. The tiki bar has excellent food (with friendly service) and we ate there for lunch both days. People are able to walk back and forth from the Hilton and Holiday Inn to use both pools, but they are very similar pools so I didn’t find one more crowded than the other. My biggest disappointment was the front desk staff. They were never very friendly and I constantly waited for them to finish their conversations with each other before they would even acknowledge me. Most times I was met with at least mild annoyance. It’s not a great set up that you have to go to front desk to get pool towels and turn them in there as well. We never ate at the breakfast buffet but I did go down one morning to order the pancake meal to go. It was brought out quickly but there is a $2 charge for carry out so I wouldn’t recommend that. It ended up being $15 with tax (buffet is $16.95) We enjoyed the pool and beach for 2 days, just felt the service and room were below expectations for the price.
