Seemingly the hotel was decent and clean upon checkin. Front desk personnel were professional. I did notice that there was trash outside the door of the room across the hall that hadn't been picked up. When getting ready for bed my daughter noticed something crawling on the ceiling. Turned the lights on and it was a roach, then we saw another one on the alarm clock next to my bed. We immediately started packing our stuff up to leave. I called the front desk and told them about the bugs, they were understanding and was able to give me a refund. However, this is unacceptable. I will never stay here again because roaches dwell in unclean places.
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Room needed a few things fixes, not a deal breaker. A few restaurants close by. Airport was a 18 minute Uber ride away. Breakfast was excellent with several offerings
Hotel is conveniently located in Fort Walton Beach area, but needs improvements, bathroom fixes, and fumigation. Check-in was a problem. I arrived after 3:00 pm and the room was not ready. The front desk had to check if it was ready by physically going to the room (twice). I had to wait 30+ minutes in the lobby in order to get through the paperwork process. Another guest told me about their similar issues to get through check-in and get a room. The hotel did not receive some of my information from IHG automatically (I booked direct from IHG). Also, I am IHG Platinum Elite and there was no mention of it during check-in. The room was fine, except the sink had a very foul odor coming from the return opening (closest to you when you stand in front of it). It needs to be disinfected/sanitized. And, the bathtub did not drain properly. It would collect water, soap scum, etc. at your feet almost ankle-high the entire shower. It needs to be fixed. Lastly, most distressingly, either bedbugs or German roaches were present in my room. I killed one near the thermostat and another in the bathroom. And, there was a very small dead one on the lamp base stand next to the bed. I checked under the mattress and luckily did not see any activity, but the room (maybe the adjoining rooms, too) definitely needs to be fumigated and treated for possible bedbugs or roaches.
Wonderful family friendly hotel to stay in. They provide excellent customer service. From the concierge down to housekeeping they make sure all of our family needs were taken care of. The breakfast was hot and they kept it fresh and going to serve all the patrons. The staff truly care about their guests and made it a great experience. They told us about hidden gems and family friendly activities. Will definitely be returning!
The service here is wonderful! Helpful, kind, and patient. Room was clean & housekeeping was quick to bring extra towels. Breakfast was missing a few things but it’s free (included) and there were some good choices for all, even my picky eater & my peanut allergy kid. Close enough to the beach but just off the beaten path (less traffic and noise).
Great host at the Tiki Bar - Anthony kept the trivia coming and always catered to the needs of those in and around the Holiday Inn Express and Hilton. The music was also kid/family friendly. Plus, Rachel at the bar was very pleasant and on top of the drink orders.
We stopped here late at night, around 11pm. I paid $249 for a room. When I used the bathroom I noticed tons of hair on the floor and it was dirty. I could not sleep in the sheets after what I saw. It is not safe here. There are hobos hanging by the front door. There is a strong odor of weed in the parking lot. The staff seems "checked out". This hotel seems ok from the road. It is pretty new looking. However, they need a good cleaning crew. It is over priced for the experience I had. I do not like a dirty hotel room. I learned my lesson on this one. Nothing seems to be very sanitized. It seemed to be dirty.
I booked this hotel from reviews and ratings and had a great experience. The front desk host Saboyya was excellent with assisting me with all my phobias. She provided me with the extra set of linen so that I could feel comfortable during my stay. The complimentary breakfast was great, had veggie omelets and served mimosas. The hotel room provided Dove soap which was another plus for me. The location is a distance from the harbor walk but had plenty of stores , restaurants and a theater nearby. I wasn't able to get a refund for a night after having to leave early but it was through booking.com not the hotel.
Very nice hotel! For once, you finally get a hotel that was well-maintained. There was always a staff member at the front desk. A major plus in my book. If you had issue/concern they were quick to look into it and get it corrected. The breakfast was hot and very comforting. Keep up the great work.
Everyone was so kind. The breakfast staff deserves a raise. We stayed for a week, and the whole staff were so great. The hotel was clean and very accommodating. If we ever come back through, we will stay again. Thank you for an awesome stay.
