This is one of our go to pizza places . We order from here once a week and typically get the Big Dill. The dough is cooked perfectly , not too doughy and not burnt (which is a big deal to me ?) . We ventured out yesterday and ordered the bacon buffalo pizza for the first time and it was phenomenal. Their chicken is excellent, as well as their fries and desserts. Seriously cannot go wrong with this place .
The pizza was good it wasn’t great, the price was also a bit steep! It had great flavor though, just the dough seemed a bit on the stale side, maybe we just went on a wrong day but it doesn’t leave you wanting to come back, especially after spending $30 on 1 pizza... Also seems like the owner can't take criticism, I'm not bashing the place just giving a review on my experience. Nobody is perfect and people make mistakes, I think the owner doesn't acknowledge that. If you want to think you are perfect that's fine I will make sure to not come back and let others know how the owner Speaks to customers after a review. For the record, the dough WAS stale. If you didn't eat it how would you know? I had given it 4 stars before the owner decided to be rude.
Enjoyed the pizza. The crust could be crispier. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. I loved the military paraphernalia.I would order from here again.
This was my first time eating here and honestly I wasn't impressed at all. The pizza here is overpriced, they only have either 10" or 16" size pizza but I knew that a 10" would not fill me up so I went for the larger option and just ordered a pepperoni pizza. I waited almost 30 minutes for my pizza and honestly I could have bought a tastier pizza from little caesar's and at least saved money. The cheese tastes like generic mozzarella you get on a school lunch pizza and the crust was like cardboard...I probably won't be back just doesn't seem worth it, I think I'll just stick with pizza hit or Domino's.Update: In response back to the owners message...clearly you lack the professionalism it requires to take HONEST criticism so I won't fault you too much for the immature response and the minimal concern for what could have been a returning customer had you just tried to fix the situation like a owner who actually cares. The wait was clearly not as much of an issue as the taste and price of the pizza which I did not feel was worth what I spent. That is MY opinion and MY experience and I didn't taste the pizza until I got home so had I known that there would be a substantial need for me to address the manager I would have. The young lady at the counter was very nice and informed me that the pizza would be a little longer than 20 minutes, trust me I know how to tell time and I watched my phone and it was almost 30 minutes, but as I stated before that was not my main concern so no I didn't bring it up while there. As far as "if" and when I was there I wouldn't be writing this review had I NOT been there. Maybe you should focus more on learning how to take CONSTRUCTIVE criticism as opposed to giving backlash on every review that is not praising you, every establishment will not always receive nothing but positive reviews smh. You have a BLESSED day as well.
Awesome atmosphere, service, and food! This was the best pizza I’ve had maybe ever, and the first crawfish pizza at that. Super friendly and supports our military! Wish Helen back was in SC, will absolutely be coming back!

I appreciate honesty and as my wife and I were searching for a local pizza place I found Helen Back. I started reading the reviews and that made our decision easy. I enjoyed the owner's honesty when replying to reviews. Somebody that has a passion for their business deserves a chance in my mind.Upon our arrival we were immediately greeted by Piper with a friendly smile ?, good start. Then while getting our drinks the owner struck up a conversation with me and we chatted about my Brewers and his Orioles. I told him the reason for our visit was due to his honesty when responding to reviews. Enough small talk let's get to the review.Their pizza is really good and as someone who comes from America's dairyland I know good pizza ?. The crust is excellent and the sauce was perfect! My wife tried the cauliflower crust it was cooked to perfection. We drove 20 minutes from Fort Walton and for this pizza I would have driven 40 minutes or more. Nice laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. A big thank you to the owner Chris, Piper, and the kitchen staff, job well done! We'll be back!
The stanimal pizza is the best pizza in town!
It has been a long time since I’ve had a Helen Back Pizza, and this was my first time at the new location. Hard to believe, but the Pizza was even better than I remembered. I’ve known the owners Chris and Ryan for a long time and it was great to see them again. These guys do so much for the community and I really appreciate both of them. If you haven’t tasted the pizza lately, or if you’ve never tasted the pizza, you are missing out. Please support them as I know they will continue to support our community. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, and good conversations.Chris/Ryan, I will see you again soon!
Purchased a large top line pizza for carry out a few Fridays past. All I could really taste was the extreme amount of raw garlic in the sauce. This sauce completely over powered the pizza in a bad way. Normally, I would have eaten atleast 2-3 pieces and saved the rest for leftovers but, this pizza was not worth saving and was definitely not worth $30.00. I’ve had frozen pizza that was better than this.
