I am a shrimp lover and this restaurant was a disappointment. We arrived as a party of 7 at 5:30 on a Saturday and there was no wait. The restaurant is clean, family friendly, and the service is awesome. Fried gator was our favorite and some of our crew enjoyed the fried shrimp but it wasn’t seasoned enough. The burger is a no go, and my fried shrimp was soggy. It just wasn’t a good experience for food.
Floyd's has awesome coconut shrimp and fried pickles! We walked up from the beach and was seated outside! My service animals were with us so they brought me a cup of water to give them. We will be back.
The service was 5 star! The food…2 star. I got the half dozen oysters, they were cold, and barely cooked. If I wanted raw I would have gotten raw. The other food, chicken and shrimp, was ok at best. The vegetables were BARELY cooked, tasted raw. Pricy as is every seafood restaurant on the beach. Would NOT recommend.
Great food, better prices than a lot of the surrounding restaurants. The oysters were delicious. Our server was friendly and on top of his game. I got the blackened shrimp tacos and they were delicious.
Awful first time experience. AC was out the staff has to be miserable.Aside from that the food is completely overpriced for the quality. When you leave a restaurant feeling like you were completely taken to the cleaners because the food was Taco Bell level for a 5 star pice.Our entire party was extremely unhappy:
If you’re going to call yourself a shrimp house, at least put effort into the shrimp dishes.Bill with 18% tip came to $160.00.Worst hostess I’ve ever dealt with. Absolute b**ch.Shrimp chowder (pictured) tasted like it came straight from a Dinty Moore can. Oysters were ok, but no Acme or Half Shell oysters.Wife ordered the “ultimate endless gulf seafood” and waitress said let her know when we were ready for more shrimp then never came back. The four peel and eat shrimp that came on the endless platter tasted like they were boiled in pool water so I guess they don’t get many request for more anyway.Ordered shrimp Alfredo for the kids and it was basically mush. Likely came from a can as well.I ordered the “surf and surf” blackened. The 1/2 filet of Miah miah and five shrimp were not bad, but not great.We basically paid $160 for pre made food that they heat up and throw on a plate. Lots of good reviews for this place, so it was surprising how disgusting the food was. Must be paid reviews or folks that don’t know good seafood. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.
Excellent views of the beach and food was delicious. Staff was friendly and tables were clean. We are upstairs and enjoyed the live music from the restaurant below. We will be back for sure!
I’m always leery of places that advertise on banners flown over the beach, but this one was good! We went at lunch( why anyone wants to wait forever at dinner hours is beyond me), we were seated immediately and had great view of the beach from outside dining area upstairs. Kids meals were priced great and I’ve never seen that much shrimp on most adult orders. Shrimp queso was good appetizer but coulda been a lil bigger serving. Wife ordered Kicking Shrimp appetizer as her meal and still had some to take back to condo. I had Buffalo Shrimp po-boy and it was LOADED with shrimp. Drink cups are huge by the way. Our server was Mackenzie ( my apologies if I misspelled your name!) and she was terrific. One word of warning though, there are birds nesting around so keep your mouth closed if you look up lol.
Delicious! Expensive but sooooo goooodd!!!! Margaritas are so good!!!! Delicious sea food! Family friendly and great wait staff!!!
All you can eat shrimp 'Amazing' our waiter "Justin" Amazing! Great service and the music was great! We were outside on the upstairs and the view was perfect! Can't wait to go there again!
