My wife and I have traveled all over our country and eaten at Denny's many times. Never had a problem until now. Ft. Walton Beach FL. Denny's help must have been over worked and under payed. Not a happy place to eat. Must have been problems because it was not the Denny's we remember. Food not good, took way to long, help needs to be happy on the job. Hope it will be better next time , if there is a next time.
This place has really taken a dive. Not only dirty, but really dirty. (Large clump of someone's hair in my menu)The whole crew were out back huddled together doing who knows what, but definitely not cleaning. when we came in and only one senior citizen waitress to tell us what they were out of all while spitting through her missing teeth. We couldn't take it and left without ordering.
Waitress was fair. We got there was 2 cooks look around both cooks were GONE ,our food sat on counter for a good 10minutes, when we got our food order was not right on two plates French fries were cold waitress took my steak back to have it refried and still no cooks. Greeters where good waitress tried cooks wherever not good at all will not go there again!
Want to start by saying the staff was great. I attempted to go on Saturday. As soon as we got to the hostess we were told an hour wait for food. No problem, we left and came back on Sunday. There were plenty of tables available. As we waited 50 minutes for our food we watched the kitchen struggle. Door dash orders were piling up on the counter. When we got our food it was cold...not so great when you are having eggs .Perhaps the franchise owner of this location should consider not doing door dash orders on the weekend's. It is truly hurting the dine in experience .
Served food here, walked out last night during my shift , after the female manager demanded that she take all my tables or let her best friend (the other only server) pour cake batter cream on my tables pancakes, to serve them the way they are used to. I feel there are better ways to terminate me than to force me out through greed. I did make almost a hundred in cash though in only a few hours, table of three gave me $20, another table of two gave $10, each table was tipping $10 or more so I can't complain about my customers, just only the management needs new trained professionals to limit their smoke breaks and to stop taking tables during times when they are not smoking away from servers who care and are ready & open to serve. No help was needed last night, just Manager and her best friend kept interrupting me to distract me, then taking my tables orders from me forcing me to become their audience. Very odd of management that I feel could focus on cooking food, or helping back of the house wash silverware.
The cleaner (I assume) they use to clean tables had a smell that was really unpleasant. Not sure it was the cleaner, but there was definitely something that smelled almost like lighter fluid to me.Food was good service was nice.
This place must not be 24 hrs. 2 weeks in a row I’ve tried to come here on my lunch hour seeing as I work nights shift and not much is open. The doors were chained up last week. This week no one answering the phone to verify hours.
I came at 6 in the morning on 3/7/22 to have breakfast. This is a 24 hr establishment. Doors were locked. I called in several times with no answer. Cook was back there doing whatever he was doing and I know he saw me at the door as well. I stood there for about 10 minutes with no one coming to the door or answering the phone.
We waited for 1 1/2 hours after bringing it to our waitresses attention it came and the eggs were not done.
