One of the most relaxing beaches in southeastern Florida. Blue/green ocean water really looks great. Beach is super clean with millions of ? shells to add to the beauty. Not crowded whatsoever! 5☆s without a doubt.
AWFUL...I will not come back. I went for breakfast this morning. Hash browns were burnt and cold, my toasts never came, I was never asked if I wanted more coffee and when I pointed out to the waitress about the toasts she acted like she didn't care. I will make sure to warn my friends and family about this place. Never again.
The rooms are clean, but very dated. They are working on that supposedly. I thought it would be much nicer due to the cost per night. Upon opening door it was very musty and went away slightly with A/C. We had to move our room because of my limited mobility and the room we moved to was directly across from a large park. It was noisy all of the time and one night this person decided to turn his car stereo on as loud as he could for about 1/2 hour at around 2 a.m. and only stopped when the police arrived. We were told that this was a regular occurrence by management and they complained about it. The TV in our room was on the wall near the door and every time the A/C came on below it we would have to turn the TV up to a crazy volume to hear it. Someone had put the TV on Closed Captioning and I can see why. There are no shelves in the shower. You have to put your soap, washcloth, etc. on the shower floor or the toilet tank to use them. The biggest thing for me is not following through with promises. We got a call from our neighbor that a pipe had burst in our home and we needed to leave one day early. Michelle told us that they would give us a refund for that day and she seemed sincere. I've called her twice and asked her about the refund and she tells me it was refunded and should show up within the next week. This has been going on since August. Just tell the truth. You were never planning on refunding our money.
I have not stayed here although we have visited numerous times their restaurant. We were trying to gather information to make a reservation in October however never received a reply to several e-mails. So we are staying somewhere else. But we went here for an evening drink and pp and were totally surprised to see their menu has changed and everything we use to order had been removed. The menu is alright, just not what we were used to and expect from an open air beach place. Their prices have gone up as well and while our app was very good, we will probably find another location for our weekly lunch visit in the future. I believe the change will not set well also with the "birds" who use to visit here during the season. This place was always full during lunch in the season and I will be interested in seeing how this years group reacts to the new menu minus the old favorites.
Stopped here for one night while traveling to Miami. We called late and they had a room. The young lady at the front desk was so super nice. This is an older beach hotel so nothing fancy but still nice and our room was very clean. The restaurant had pretty good food and great drinks. Karaoke at the bar that night so that was fun. Beautiful location on a beautiful beach. I would stay here again. Again can't say enough about the service.
I was here last weekend staff was great summer was awesome at the desk beautiful view of the ocean definitely would tell family and friends
We have tried this place multiple times and really wanted to like it, however, today was the last attempt. The restaurant is in dire need of management. Our server was very kind and apologetic for all of the issues beyond her control, her personality was the only positive we experienced this morning at breakfast.
I don't normally write reviews, but I had a very unexpected blessing here! I am the primary caregiver for my elderly parents, and I needed BREAK on the beach. I booked 3 nights at the Sunrise Sands Resort. After staying one night, I got a call that my elderly mom's health had made another turn for the worse, so I checked out early. Much to my surpise, I was given a refund! What big corporate property eod have dive that? NONE, to my knowledge! This small resort has a nice location right on the beach overlooking the Fort Pierce Jetty on beautiful Hutchinson Island. Jetty Park is a great place to walk, swim, and picnic. The room is average for an older property, but it is also much less expensive compared to the newer properties on Hutchinson Island. If you just want to relax at the beach with no frills, try this place and save your money!
The only good things about my recent stay here were the great service at the beachside restaurant downstairs and the pretty view. I wish I would have known that Ft. Pierce is a nasty ghetto and this hotel attracts all types of sketchy people. People are belligerently drunk at their beach bar all day long..which means one less place to chill and relax. The bartender doesn't know when to stop serving someone which makes it unpleasant for others, so we avoided that bar altogether, I even hated that I had to walk through all the drunks at that bar in order to get to the beach access! The drunkards won't even move out of your way!! THEN..I was awaken every night at 2am-3am with blasting music so loud, it actually shook my room. We were told that happens regularly at the beach park downstairs and no one really does anything about it. Cops come and chase people away, then they come right back. It was INSANE! the room was very dark and depressing and very outdated, not even a hook in the bathroom to hang a wet towel. the ''balcony" room is actually a shared balcony and there's always someone hanging out right in front of your window being loud. I never saw a maid for 3 days and the main office is regularly closed for breaks throughout the day. the walls are so paper thin that I could hear my upstairs neighbor watching the news at 5am! It woke me up! Oh and The office deactivated our key card a day early and when we went to go rectify it, the office was CLOSED of course! There was a phone number posted on the door if you needed help. So ridiculous. PS- don't shop at the local supermarket unless you want a crackhead following you around the store trying to rob you. Needless to say, this hotel is one we will never visit again!! Definitely not for families.
