Was working on island and saw this place to eat fot lunch. Walked in and only one other customer was there. Sat at bar 10 minutes theen waitress took my order. Another 10 minutes go by and the grill is right in fromt of me yet no one making my order. I was patient and notived one lady outside smoking a cigarette. It fawns on me she is the cook. So she walks in from outside after putting cigarette out in her hand then throws it in inside garbage can and proceeds to start grabbing bread and bacon with no hamds washed or gloves. After I asked shouldn't you eash your hands after smoking and putting out cigarette with hand. She looked at me and said it eas not my order. I then said does not matter who's order it is your hands should be washed. She looked at me like I had some phobia or something. I just got up and left. Just a dirty place and people working there dont care. Never again will go there and tell everyone what happened. Should be called Nasty Diner not Dave's
Visiting from out of town with my family. We are from the north east and love diners. We are staying in Fort Pierce so were so happy to see a diner here. The place was jam packed on a Thursday morning with a 30 min wait but our lovely waitress Genie Martini snagged us a seat by shooing off lingering locals. The food was really good. I got an omelette that Genie helped me save a few bucks on with a menu hack. She directed my wife to change her order to the breakfast special so her coffee would be free and encouraged to plus up the kid’s pancakes since he ordered just one and it wouldn’t have been enough. The service and food was five star so you may ask why only two stars? Well, I had to take off one star for each explosive diarrhea we had.We don’t know why this happened but in sequence all three of us were rushing to the bathroom to evacuate whatever it was we had ate.Maybe it was just us as the place had a lot of regulars but sadly we won’t be back.
What a cool little Diner. Huge menu great staff and THEE best Biscuits and gravy I believe I've ever had (aside from my own of course)I highly
Disappointed, unfortunately. Wanted to like it, since it looks like a small family hole in the wall. But the service was slow and the food was not good. And it's hard to ruin breakfast! The bacon was overcooked (my wife likes it well done but if it has no fat on it, it's burnt in my book). And the pancakes were not fluffy and delicious, they were thick and gooey. What a shame. At least you can't ruin scrambled eggs...
2019- Decent food, home cooked meals. Prices used to be lower (ex. Breakfast special used to be $5.75 (not that long ago either) now it is $8.50 & portions seems to have gotten smaller) but have since went up a bit. Still though not too bad.UPDATE 2021- NEW OWNERS and you can tell. Place has short hours, service is NOT GREAT & the food is NOT what it used to be. Such a shame that the old owners sold. They should change the name I feel like it's a bit misleading.
Short Stack with two Eggs and Bacon. Small place with outdoor dining. Very friendly and prompt waitresses.
This is you local watering hole. The waitresses will know your face after coming a handful to times. The service is too notch and the food is typical breakfast. If you looking for some pancakes with a side of nostalgia this is the spot to come
Great breakfast spot.Locals eat here.Good prices.Nice outdoor area to eat.Great service. We ate on the patio.
A strong nope. The waitresses are very nice..but the food was not good. The portions were small and was unimpressive. I love a good diner..but wouldn't go back unless it was the ONLY option open two days after a hurricane.
Dined in for time this morning. Food was good as well as the service had the sausage omelette and OJ.
