Staff is Awesome and friendly. Great menu and food for everyone.
Great friendly service and delicious food
Spotless inside , quick service and everything was great
What a Huge disappointment. I love going to mom & pop BBQ joints, but this place had to serve me the Worst BBQ ever. Dry stringy overcooked pulled pork. BBQ roast beef tough dry and tasteless as chewing on a shoe,, ribs?? Undercooked tasteless and tough. The iced tea was excellent sides were good but chincy not filled up..Normally I would complain or ask for better food, but when I looked in the dirty kitchen I could see the issue. No one cares about quality. When you walk in the smell of hickory gets your taste buds in gear, only to be very disappointedI would not go back. Even the music was off. No blues or country, odd hip hop and techno stuff.Save your money a " delight in every bite""" disappointment on every plate.""Very sad
You can see from my other reviews I am honest. Food was great. Service even better. Girl who served us helped me choose her favorites from the menu with smiles and a friendly attitude. I had: Spare ribs, fatty but she had warned me. Coleslaw, chopped and creamy which she recommended over the beans. Fried okra which she said was very good and was hands down the best I ever had. Homemade ranch came with the okra. I almost cleaned my plate, which I hardly ever do. The sauces to go with the meat were good as well. My brother had a pile of pulled pork that will easily give hime lunch tomorrow. He raved about the collards and WOULD NOT share them. I eat barbecue everywhere I go and this was a good find.
Absolutely no COVID-19 restrictions or distancing at this restaurant. We went in because there was only one other couple when we arrived..by the time we left it became got more crowded...no one wearing masks. Food: The meat was obviously reheated from a couple days previously..and that was not done well, dry and still cold. The only good thing was the cornbread, and fries. I won't go back.
It wasn't bad; it wasn't great. Upon entering the restaurant you get the delightful smell of smoke so anticipation is high. However the smoke didn't make it to the meat, it was pretty dull, and a bit tough. The beans weren't hot, slaw was just ok. Onion chips appetizer was burnt. Best part of the meal was the french fries. Service was ok.
Been eating here since 1985 and my parents since this place opened, and the last visit in early december was great, this last visit was on 12/29/2021 really started to point to the down fall of this place, the new owners, I have never met but I have known the past owners for years, so I won't put the owners down, but the new faces I see here working are clueless, not friendly, can't answer a simple menu question, when asked a question I get a rude "yup" for a answer, prices going up drastically, not the dales I remember and I don't think I will continue to make the 20 mile trip to eat here anymore if this is how I will see this place in the future and its truly sad as this is one of my favorite spots to eat when I am in town (Im a trucker). Please get these new faces in check and prices as well, going to lose a lot of customers, I read a lot of comments before posting my own.
This place is not bbq. The meat is dry and chewy, no flavor at all. The spare ribs were horrible. The pork and chicken were not dry or chewy but had very little flavor. The side were great, we had bbq beans, green beans and Mac n cheese. All were very good. Unfortunately the meat was some of the worst I have ever had.
I ordered Dale’s to surprise my family with a dinner last night; and to be completely honest with you, the food was terrible! My family has been coming here since the restaurant opened and the food was spectacular until the new owners took over. The food has gone down in quality AND quantity. We ordered 3 sandwiches, 3 sides of coleslaw, fries, and some sweet teas but in return we got 2 sandwiches and the sides were missing.I ended up going to the smoke-fest at the Chevrolet dealership and got better quality BBQ and they didn’t mess the order up.I am so disappointed in Dale’s! My grandfather would be heartbroken at the state of this (once) iconic restaurant! They should be ashamed!
