The fried shrimp and grouper fingers were good. The tartar sauce wasn't very tasty and the coleslaw didn't have much flavor and seems kind of dry. For their cheese steak meat that it seems like the meat is marinated which was a really off putting flavor and we didn't enjoy it. I wish they would devein the shrimp. The shrimp were really big and nice though and the fry on them was yummy. The fried mushrooms with the horseradish sauce were awesome. They have really delicious tacos and chips and salsa. I almost wish they'd roll the taco up and fry it like a little chimichanga. They fried the chips up so they're nice and fresh. Would definitely go back I think with a few tweaks they could be a great place. All in all the food was delicious and the quality was good. Can't wait to go back and try the taco salad.
The cheeseburger was cooked to perfection! It was charbroiled and dripping with cheese! The wings are also very tasty...I recommend this restaurant if you want great service and food!
Ate here 3 times, food always great but should not take 45 minutes to prepare a sandwich. Yup, all three times. Bring a snack if you go here for lunch lol
I used to come here several years ago and it was decent, in fact it was decent enough that I gave it a 5 star rating. However for the next few years there were kitchen staff changes and the food quality went down hill. About the same time Southern eagle pulled the beertaps for reasons unbeknownst to me so fast forward to today 4/20/2022.My wife and I decided let's give it a go, upon 1st apperance it looked same as before with addition of the ice cream bar with 16 flavors could be a nice addition. The staff seemed quiet pleasant as well. Beer was cold as always. Laura the bar tender was super nice and very attentive. We decided on drinks, which were good. We also decided on a appetizer of Fat Boy dip, it showed up piping hot, with very generous portion of chips. I decided on the fish basket which came with Haddock, fries and hush puppies. Overall it was good, the only complaint would be the small piece of of Fish was very thin and $13.95. Laura "my wife" decided on a Baked Club Sub. The sub comes with, turkey, ham and bacon for meats. Comes with cheese, lettuce tomatoes, and Mayo. Sandwich came and Laura my wife mentioned how cold it was, and she had a few bites and decided she was done and gave it to me. I decided to give it a go to realize all the meat was ice cold, I asked bartender Laura to have it heated. This was the point I knew I should of never returned! The kitchen (chef, cook or whatever he is) decided to throw a tantrum like a two year old! It was at this point I told Laura the bar tender I did not want the food back because I could not trust, who I know know is Ronnie to serve my food back to me unaltered in a bad way. I offered to pay for it, continued to have a few more beers. Overall the experience was ok however I will not come back for any food and can not recommend it. My money wasn't missed for the last few years and probably won't be missed this time either.
It is no longer Chubie's. It is under New Mgt. Vocinos. Food is still good but they can't sell beer or liquor for another week. It is currently May 3rd. There are a few new Italian items on the Menu. Service is as good as always. If you liked it before, you will still like it. Although I really wanted 1 Tap Beer. Next time.
Great food! The French dip and grouper are my go to favorites! Amazing customer service! It’s so hard to find good service these days as most restaurants are short staffed but everyone that works there is always friendly and helpful! My favorite local restaurant!
Downhome, local hangout bar/ grill. Friendly service and the food was really good. Prices are decent and about average for this type of food. Love their Steak special on Friday night.
The service was ok when we went during the early afternoon. The food, not so much. The Philly cheesesteak looked delicious but the bottom of the bun was soaked and soggy and fell apart when you tried to pick up to eat. That was the first and last time going but we thought a good place for a 15 year old to try working for the first time. I don't know if the manager is new to the restaurant business or what but they hired my 15 yo daughter and let her go after just 3 weeks (only 5 4hr shifts in that time) with no warning or reason. This after her receiving compliments during her time there. It must be a family/click thing with them I guess.
Charming little restaurant with a hometown atmosphere. Waitress was very nice. Food was delicious and generous portions.
Great atmosphere. Charming waitress. Good food. The ingredients are all there for a good time. They bar is always open
