Had a work dinner at The Standard downtown and Shi our waitress was so welcoming and inviting when I arrived. The vibe is great and good music playing. The menu has so many tasty items it was so hard to choose just one thing. I will be back for sure as I saw Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s all day everyday! Full liquor bar too that has anything you could think to want to order!
Place had good reviews for brunch so decided to try it out. Soon as we walked in the bartender asked if we had a reservation and we didn’t and she said she would see if they had a table for us. We were sat next to the patio door without any menus but three other tables were sat with menus. We sat for 11 minutes without one server asking us if we’ve been helped but three were in our area and just kept walking about. I asked someone for menus. Server came over and said they don’t normally give out menus unless we ask for them because they had a QR scanner on drink menu stand at end of table. Told him how would we know that and that others were sat with menus. The food was okay. They have bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s for $20 & you can switch between the two. Bloody Mary was way too peppery. Honey Corn Muffins we’re tasty. They had live music. Our server Tim was good, he was funny.
Interesting place. Was decent.Staff seemed pretty nice they gave out some extra pineapple tequila shots so that was nice.Giving flowers for mother's Day.Not really too sure why we were served sparkling wine as a mimosa but whatever.The best was when she tried to tell me that it was champagne and it was a screw top definitely not champagne it was sparkling wine.Food was good overall.I really got like a diner feel and I wasn't expecting that. Updated tables and chairs would go a long way.Not sure it was worth $100..
Friday night downtown Fort Myers. Most places were packed at 7:30PM with a 45 min wait. Having been at the The Standard pre-Covid we headed over. The place was empty. The server was nice enough even though 3 tables were being waited on she did not notice us for 15 min. First warning sign. We ordered drinks and then mussels and a vegan parm sandwich. Mussels were mealy, and 2 were 'bad'. The Vegan parm was just sliced vegetables on Ciabata with vegan cheese baked on. Basically 'mush'. Punch line my wife was up at 2:30 am with an upset stomach...go figure. After serving the meals the waitress disappears...I mean I had to get up and find her to get the check. We did not bother to speak with anyone who worked there as they were all involved in speaking with each other. No eye contact, communications and no check in on how the food was. Service 2 out of 10 Food 0 out of 10 Return trip - not happening. There are plenty of good places to eat in Fort Myers, This is not one of them. Absolute waste of our time and money.
Horrible service. Loud. Overpriced and inconsistent food, Don't waste your time or your money. We've been there a few times. Ordered the Margherita Pizza twice. Once it had fresh basil on it and the second time it was covered in pesto sauce. Also had a glass of red wine that tasted like the bottle had been open for several days. Went to trivia night two weeks in a row. My friend made reservations and both weeks when arriving our table was not available for us and they had to scramble to find us seating. Once all I ordered was an iced tea and my bill was under $4. I gave the server a $20 bill and he asked if I needed change. The servers do not give you checks, they just tell you what you owe and if you ask for a bill they get snippy. Oh and they automatically add a credit card fee to your bill before they even know how you will be paying. Stay away - stay far away.

Have gone to the Standard a number of times with friends and family. Each visit we tried various meals, hamburgers, plant burgers, etc. Every meal was excellent. Wood strongly recommend a visit. Staff was prompt and engaging, and we talked with the manager, who was extremely friendly.
the most welcoming accepting atmosphere in ft. Myers. I've never felt more comfortable in an establishment as a woman drinking. The owners are awesome and kind and so wonderful. Check them out for Drag queen karaoke brunch Saturday mornings
I love it here. The atmosphere here is amazing and the staff is dedicated to making sure you have a good time!! This is the ONLY place in fort myers for amazing food and the best drag show/ fun night of your life babe!! ?
