Never got a reply to my email .Hello! I am Xenia and I am from Ohio! I came to visit for the week to see my family. Just a little background before I get into what I wanted to say.On April 5th 2022, I went to get lunch at The Great American Bagel! It was between the hours of 2-3:30. It was located in the fort Myers airport in the D terminal. My flight was delayed so I thought I’d go get a bite. There was a girl (could not see her name tag) she looked Hispanic and had brown and blond hair , she said “ hello what can I get started for you on this beautiful day”, those are words I wouldn’t forget . It was a bad day because of the delay, although that was my issue it was great hearing those kind words. As she’s taking my order the guy at the register, I believe his name is Lucas that’s what my receipts says , young man with a nose ring, laughs at her and says “it’s never a beautiful day, especially when the line is long”, “ I don’t know what you always say that”. Her reply was “ to me it is” as she continues to make my order, as well as make 5 other orders at the same time ! When it was time for me to pay, he rolls his eyes and asks me what I had ordered. I told him , and payed , the young lady that was kind to me directed me to the napkins , and he then said “they can find it themselves I don’t want to do all that talking “. The point of this email is, I hope you are taking care of the young lady she is a gem!!!!! But as for him , people like him whom are nasty and look like they don’t want to work shouldn’t be in any kind of business talking to people or about people like that !! When I’m standing right there! She made a Great sand which ! I will be coming again .. but as for his lack of respect, only bad experience about The great American Bagel. You could thank her, I sure will be coming back every month .
The rudest group of 3 girls working here during our visit on Monday March 28 at 5pm. Whoever owns this establishment should monitor their behavior towards customers as no one in their right mind would ever employ them as the face of their company. Really nice staff. Super apologetic about the cream cheese shortage. Would have loved a cold drink option, but she directed me to a stall nearby to get a drink. Bagel was toasted to perfection. Nothing particularly exciting about this place - except for the staff. Made my morning!
I have been coming to this location in RSW airport for last 15 years and they have gone from great to horrible in last year. My true rating is -5 but not offered on the scale. I ordered a blueberry crunch and cinnamon crunch for my wife…toasted with just a tiny little butter. Before we got to our gate to sit, the butter leaked thru the bag onto my pants. When I opened the paper wrapping the bagels were saturated to such a point the bagels were total mush and unedible. The person who took my order was not paying attention and really not even trying to do a good job. Never again. The American eagle bagel is dead.
I ordered a EVERYTHING BAGEL but got some cheese bagel. She insisted that it was a EVERYTHING BAGEL AND IT WAS NOT. I EANT MY MONEY BACK....SHOULD TREAT CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT....
Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! I will literally eat anything I’m not picky at all but when I got my panini it was the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. Everything about it was disgusting from the chicken to the hard crusty bread ?. Plus it was 12$???? Such a rip off they should close down they’re lucky they are in an airport where people are starving and don’t care or they would definitely be shut down. Staff was also so rude they all need some attitude training lol most annoying experience do not go here.
3 teenage girls working were extremely rude. Very snippy at us and many guests. DO NOT GO HERE. Take your business elsewhere. Slow service. Employees were heckling the guests. Girl working register wouldn’t look us in the eye and did not use any manners. Will never come again!
My wife and I had bagels from this outlet at the RSW airport before a morning flight. She ordered hers with cream cheese and I just wanted mine toasted. Each bagel was priced at $4.79 plus tax, regardless of topping, which is effectively price gouging. You could purchase a much better bagel and spread in midtown Manhattan for much less.
The Great American Bagel company offers good bagels and coffee. That is all I needed to start my day of traveling. It is well placed and worth planning to use.
